People are so stuffy about podcasts for some reason. I’ve learned tons from listening just since January and have had tons of fun doing it. No other podcast is gonna teach you about Homeland Security, sex trafficking, socialist folk music, child behavioral camps, and tech monopolies and ALSO introduce an episode with “The Coomers in the Night”.
Brace and Liz are well researched, very funny, and absolutely convincing. Yung Chomsky adds so much to the show with his edits (ex: every boost on the words “Spider Network”), and his willingness to punch up a joke with a clip, and I’m not certain, but I don’t think I’ve heard the same transition music twice yet. It’s a charismatic and charming show, and it needs to be when the subject matter can get very very dark at times.

This is a great podcast to recommend to a friend whose politics are all over the place, who has some good left-leaning instincts sometimes yet veers into right-wing conspiratorial territory in others. Brace and Liz have the wit and humor to reel them in and affirm their good instincts while setting them straight on what they’re wrong about. Also can I just say Yung Chomsky times the theme music PERFECTLY to end each episode’s cold open

Probably one of the most entertainingly hilarious podcasts to ever exist. Braces sick sense of “dude you took it too far” humor and Liz’s exasperation dealing with it is the best part. The research and reporting they do is very deep and accurate. Very unique podcast and best part of my listening day at work.

If you’re new to this podcast, I suggest going back to the beginning and listening to the episodes in order. The episodes are well researched and there’s a lot of good information and discussion in all. I actually like both their voices and their back and forth, which can be very funny. But make no mistake that these hosts are very serious about both the subjects of the podcasts and the people and controversies around them. 5 stars, baby!

Was sadly surprised that they degraded a popular journalist as defining her as a mommy blogger. They also negatively accused her of doing some thing called ‘catapillaring’ when actually it’s just journalism shared through Instagram stories. Some people like to listen to podcasts to get information and some people also like to read in-depth stories through someone’s Instagram. Both are valid resources to obtain news and information. Was disappointed at the misogyny used against her to discredit her journalism.

I listened to a handful of episodes that seemed to have interesting topics. In their early episodes, they make frequent jokes about not being pedophiles and seem as though they are protesting too much. As many reviews mention, the guy is a generally arrogant misogynist and the woman is not very likable either. I could see the appeal for some, but not anything I plan to follow in the future.
