I’m a homeschooling mom and have enjoyed the places and experiences that The Moth opens up through stories. There are so many worlds within worlds all around us, too many to grasp in a lifetime, but I feel like the Moth has given my family a chance to look through “windows” and catch snapshots of other lives and experiences that we might never be aware of otherwise, and to feel their impact. I definitely recommend listening with your kids. Parents will want to listen ahead to get a feel for content to make sure it’s age appropriate for your children, but many of the stories are family friendly and inspire great conversations. We are always looking forward to the next Moth release. Thank you for this amazing resource!

I’ve been listening to The Moth weekly for the past 4 years and it’s always the highlight of my week. I laugh, I cry, and I’m able to feel part of something bigger than myself when I can listen and understand someone better or know that someone goes through the same struggles as me.
I always recommend The Moth to all my friends and family, and when I find a fellow listener I feel instantly connected to them.
I love The Moth, and how they share perspectives from all over the world. I can’t rave enough about this podcast

This is my favorite podcast to listen to during my long commutes. It really makes me feel connected to the story tellers with their humor, humility, vulnerability and their ability to keep me completely consumed and engaged making my commutes seem much shorter. In a place where social media has created a platform for people to show their ugly, this podcast gives me hope and makes me feel connected again.

The Moth is my savior!! Driving 5 hours every Friday night from north Detroit to Pittsburgh to see my wife and kids and another 5 hours on Sunday evening back to Detroit has been my normal routine for the last 15 months. Highway driving can be monotonous, but The Moth keeps me engaged and entertained. I can’t thank you enough. One day I will have my own stories to tell.

I’m honestly devastated to write this review. From the bottom of my heart. I’ve been listening to the Moth for years. I often think of the many stories I’ve heard and still recount them to others, however, I recently decided that I can no longer support the Moth. The Moth changed my heart, it opened my mind to people of all walks of life and their stories. I cried, I laughed, I found compassion. The reason I am signing off is that I feel the Moth has started to use their platform for their own personal political agenda. What once was a inclusive podcast for all has now become one sided. What finally pushed me over the edge was they put out a show with very one sided controversial political topics (specifically ones that were very emotional and heart wrenching) the week of the election & at the end of show they told their viewers to “choose wisely”. I was blown away. This felt manipulative, using a heartbreaking stories to garner votes for their preferred stance. In this day in age, with so many people and places divided against each other I was so disappointed to see a podcast, that often promotes togetherness, choose instead to promote division. But alas, people will do what they think is best and right and I guess the Moth thinks this is way to make a better world. Sadly, I don’t agree and will no longer be a listener. Thanks for the good times Moth, they were great while they lasted.

I’m at the point of unsubscribing to this podcast. Though the stories are good, the intro and outro music is so jarring, I can’t stand it anymore. Please change to some other music that goes a little better with the stories, most of which are deep, heart wrenching, funny or sad...but typically mellow in tone. The sudden music seriously startles me, unless I’m waiting for it so I can fast forward that part. Thanks.
