I like most of Keith Morrison’s work, and this show seems promising. But every Dateline podcast has issues with compression or limiting causing the very low frequencies of some musical passages to interfere with the dialogue, reducing the volume of the narration. Audio post production guy, look into this please. Audio mastering isn’t a set it and forget it situation. Listen, listen, listen.

I don’t know why some of the ratings are so negative. I get that this story may have been told already. I hadn’t heard it, and I thought this was fascinating! Dateline did a great job of releasing episodes leading right to Halloween (for those of us who don’t want to pay for premium). Predictable? Maybe… I mean if you listen to true crime, you get pretty good at predicting where the narrative goes. That didn’t make this any less horrifying and disturbing. What a crazy real life story!
