The History of Egypt Podcast - Podcast Rankings and reviews

This podcast is exceptionally researched and beautifully presented. Dominic is easy to listen to and his narration, although quite good from the beginning, has become more confident and companionable over the years. He finds delightful tangential topics for his special and mini-episodes. The original music is unfailingly wonderful and evocative. I like it so much that I’m binging it from the beginning. If you are at all a fan of ancient Egypt, this is more than worth your while. And if you’re not, this podcast will make you one.

The narrator is easy to listen to and there’s so much history packed into each episode. I learn something new with each episode!

A great, very in-depth, narrative podcast on the extensive very ancient history of Egypt from it’s historical beginning. Also spends a good amount of time on ancient Egyptian literature, which while it of course is ancient and foreign, manages to be hauntingly familiar to a Westerner like myself.

Bottom line if you like in-depth narrative historical podcasts this is a great choice. If you want something more bite-size and superficial, there are other great podcasts out there for you.

I’m addicted to ancient Egypt and this podcast takes you through the dynasties with so much information. His descriptions allow you to picture and almost imagine you were there. I’m so glad I found this gem. Thank you for all your hard work and time you’ve dedicated to the podcast Dominic!
