The Headlines - Podcast Rankings and reviews

This is the show I didn’t know I wanted, but now that it’s here I can’t imagine not having it. Great stories, well-balanced, tight and to the point. The perfect quick hit of news to start the day, with just the right balance of breadth and depth. Awesome!

This podcast is a good idea, I just didn’t enjoy listening to it as much as my other morning podcasts. The delivery was a little too serious for a morning podcast. NPRs version of this type of podcast does a better job of bringing in some levity so you still leave the podcast in a positive mood. Maybe consider adding a cohost to lighten the mood? This isn’t the nightly news… it’s a morning show.

Concise delivery about American politics and topics. Democratic leaning..but what news source is wholly unbiased?
Overall, a good listen to catch me up on major news in the mornings for when I’m on a time crunch. Thanks NYT.

Varied content and expert journalistic brief explanation. As opposed to another review, I am not looking for light-hearted entertainment from this source. I appreciate the seriousness and relevance.

This show leans pretty far to left, and you’ll have to look elsewhere if you want a balanced, objective perspective. Case in point: on the 9 Sept 2024 show, when discussing the Memphis shooting, they mention the race of the victim but not the cops, then go on to make the absurd suggestion that the traffic stop might not have happened if a Republican TN lawmaker had acted differently…what?? It’s laughable how brazenly they show their bias.
