The regular episodes are great. The thought and research that goes into them is some of the best in the true crime realm. They will also follow up on previously covered cases when need be. What isn’t great are their Killing Time episodes. Since all the Diddy stuff came out it has been nothing but conspiracy theory after conspiracy theory from every corner of the internet and social media. They treat it all as fact and just to prevent a law suit they will toss in an occasional “allegedly”. It is one thing to talk about a case but it is another to give some of the wildest conspiracy theories life and thus, the continue to fester and grow larger and more ridiculous. I don’t want to unsubscribe to them but this sudden turn to everything that comes out about Diddy etc. is true, both on the pod and in the Facebook group may leave me no choice. Be better Jac and Alexis.
Overall, I’m a fan of the regular episodes and think Alexis and Jac do an amazing job. However, I’ve recently been listening to several of their “Deep Dives” on Diddy and others, and it’s been very disappointing. They seem to treat every single tik tok story about anything as fact, when clearly a lot of it is just random people with random theories. I get Alexis and Jac are not real journalists, but c’mon - do a bit more due diligence. Way, way too many, “omg, did you see that tik tok about that thing that might have happened”. If you want real reporting, check out channels like the BBC who have real, fact-checking journalists. If you’re cool with random gossip, stay here!
I’ve listened to you ladies for a few years now and have enjoyed your content but these Diddy/celebrity deep dives are on fire!! I’ve been a conspiracy realist since 2020 so am aware of most of these topics, but LOVE that y’all are bringing them mainstream to help wake people up to these satanic agendas and deception. The delivery is compelling and the fact that you both live in LA and have some first hand knowledge is the icing on the cake! Keep up the great work! The devil is real but God wins! xoxo
Life got busy and I was so grateful to come back to First Degree. The current hosts are amazing and very ethical plus sensitive to the rights of victims and the accused who may not have been found guilty yet.
