I can’t say enough good things about Steve Bartlett’s Podcast- Diary of a CEO. As a person who has worked in corporate and has now started their own business- I thought I would give it a listen. This podcast provides life advice though for anybody in any industry, not just entrepreneurs. I’m blown away by the immense value that Steve brings to his podcast. I believe it stems from the honesty and integrity in which he records each episode. He isn’t trying to give a filtered view, but a real life perspective. He discusses everything from finding happiness in the present, to the behind the scenes of an entrepreneur, to even discussing with other CEOs on the lessons they have learned. I feel so blessed to be able to gain a real life view and gain real life advice, so I can avoid some of the pitfalls that are typical in any business. Thanks Steve for doing what you do.

I love this podcast and I feel privileged to be able to listen in on the thoughts and more importantly the thought-process of Steven Bartlett. This podcast is so real and unfiltered and its awesome. We are presented with raw material - the thoughts that he has and events that may happen to him, which he writes down. Then he picks apart what he has written down and sculpts it into something that makes sense, something that is profound and necessary for him AND us to hear. I say “he” picks it apart but it really feels like WE do it together because of how directly he speaks to the listener. Truly a unique experience. Also the audio quality is fantastic, especially for someone using a microphone that plugs into their phone! Wise beyond his years is no exaggeration! You’ll want to take notes while you listen.
P.S.- Thank you so much for this podcast, I found your YouTube channel some years ago when I had dug myself into a very deep pit of depression. You and Tom Bilyeu played the most pivotal roles in my change of thought process and dragging myself out of it. I am inspired every time I listen to your podcast, to strive for more in my life and become more self aware and just a better human being. I’d like to put in a request for a book list of your favorite books or books that you think we should all read...if I may. Thank you! With love from Trinidad & Tobago

Steven is a rare gem of a host. Listens well, but also shares about himself and his experiences so it’s a conversation and an interview. He asks non generic, super thought provoking questions and consistently has incredibly interesting guests, beyond just CEO’s..thought leaders, and just so many people of interest. His conversations feel real and raw, and it comes through.
This podcast far and beyond stands out from the pack and different than much of the “noise” that has saturated our podcast space. It’s well produced, well edited and a fantastic listen. 10/10

I am a first time listener of this podcast but I can say that the Maisie Williams episode shook me to my core. I have never heard anyone speak so eloquently, honestly, and with complete transparency about something I relate so well to. The host was an absolute gem in his thoughtful questions and the space he gave Maisie to elaborate as much or as little as she wanted to. I am thankful for this episode in particular for making me feel not so alone. Amazing!

I’m a big fan of many of the conversations had on this podcast, but I just listened to episode 256 and was totally surprised by some of the facts made by the interviewee that don’t seem to be based on science or what’s published in the literature and song seemto be fact checked
For example @7:32 a statement was made that the brain NEEDS 50% ketones and 50% glucose to function. I’ve done a PubMed search on this and can’t find anything that says under normal circumstances the brain needs ketones for fuel so what is the source for this information?
I have to say this made me want to stop listening but I wanted to persevere given that I’m usually a fan of this podcast, and also not be too closed minded so I continued. A few more factoids were made that seemed to be “incorrect” until we got to the second big one
@1:56:49 - if you do a lot of cardio then you will be breaking down muscle citing an example of looking at the physique of a marathon runner vs tennis player.
I guess I now need to listen with a discerning ear and check any scientific statements made before I take them as correct. A pity, this takes away the pleasure of listening
The alternative is to skip listening to anything scientific or fact based. Bummer

The guests are amazing, but unfortunately this podcaster turned the episode into a personal therapy session about his own relationship, always circling back to himself and his girlfriend on key talking points . It would have been better if he kept all or most of his responses non personal and broad for all listeners, and leading with questions about research and results. Instead he kept the experts information relevant to his own experiences. They have such a wealth of information but all he could probe about was himself. Poorly done.
