San LeBatard and his crew continue to build upon years of smart, funny commentary. Recent additions such as Jessica Smetana, Savid Sampson, Pablo Torre and others have brought diverse perspectives behind games and players to the already strong cast. The show has been seriously upgraded by the regular disappearances the last six months of Stugotz. The show lets more of the crew find the funny without the stupidity, making for for a much better listen.

I’ve listened to the show for 10 years. Today’s timing was hilarious. Dan being light hearted serious, Stugotz getting his perfect jabs, Smetty killing it every time, Billy be Billy and Chris running it while being funny. I thought losing Mike would lessen it but it is great different. I miss Mike,he is the funniest because he’s half Dan half Stugotz, but this is funny, informative and captivating. I love the whole rest of the crew, they will get better. Everyone always does. Thank you.

DLSS is still an entertaining show, but it’s no longer the must-listen show it was pre-pandemic. You never know which cast will show up day to day. A lot of topics are retreaded week after week. Less than half the staff watches the games they talk about. With the podcast format, there’s much less of the random hijinks that the morning radio format created. The radio format is where the show was best. It’s more for YouTube viewers now.

I love the old stalwarts, like Dan, Stugotz, et al, but I love hearing more Amin, Samson, and Charlotte. Different opinions, experiences, and perspectives make it better. And God Bless Football may be the best thing they’ve ever done in the podcast era (gotta think Billy gets credit for that taking off, and wrangling Stugotz).

I used to love this show, and I get that show and content can grow old without some shakeup. But, when you folks were at your best, it was the best podcast out there. Sadly, you have no identity anymore, the constantly rotating crew of people destroyed the chemistry and camaraderie that made this show great. I actually like Samson too! Your best lineup was Dan, Stu, Roy, Mike, Chris, Billy, Allyson, Cote/Rotating guests. I don’t recognize this show from what it was when I first fell in love with it. I hope you read this comment and then hit the gong “you don’t get the show,” with that funny accent, which is in fact a racist trope against Asian people. By the way, I am Asian, and I still love that bit.

Every segment now shoehorns an interview into the flow of the show. Either with a segment from another Meadowlark property or just with a skeleton crew. It was a a failed concept then, with South Beach Sessions, that now permeates the entire show. Your sports world friends, or B-list stars from Hollywood, is not entertaining or interesting and not why we listened to this program in the first place. Feels mailed in. Wish they would go back to talking sports and derailing on nonsense amongst the original crew.
