I may not be a sports fan or glamor chick who is in to fashion or make-up, but I can relate to these women about real life. Sophie and Melanie’s weekly conversations and banter draw this midwesterner in for laughs and light heartedness as they discuss anything and everything. It’s like the days when homes were connected via partylines before personal phone lines were available. I look forward to hearing about their weekly thoughts and experiences, and laughing along with them.

I look forward to y’all’s podcast every week. Thank goodness I became a follower right as y’all started becoming consistent! lol I’ve gone to several in person events and refer to y’all in conversations as my podcast friends. I appreciate the wisdom of being a few years ahead of me in parenting and marriage and always on the lookout for new fashion and products.

I love this podcast so much! it’s a great boost to my day, and makes me laugh, feel encouraged and it’s just clean, fun humor! And by the way, I am also going through Streams in the Desert, and it is one of my favorite devotionals! Someone gifted it to us when my mother-in-law was killed in a tragic car accident. I bought several more copies to give to others. It’s the best gift to someone who has a loss or tough time. 🩷

…for helping me buy things I didn’t know I need; for helping me find books, movies, and tv shows I needed to try; sharing the beauty of Texas and Alabama, for laughter, and for making me feel like I have two new friends.

This has become a 45-50 minute podcast with at least 10 of that being ads. It’s basically one big ad with a little pod thrown in, and ever-shrinking. Then they are sad they don’t have time to share all their stories for the week? Maybe rethink the priorities a bit, because this feels like a giant sales pitch - it used to feel like a low key, relational ministry that ultimately aimed to bring God glory. Now it seems to just be about punching the clock and cashing a check. I enjoy this show content-wise, but it’s almost not worth it anymore because there are so many ads. I also struggle with Sophie’s constant name-dropping of people who are only well known in certain circles (like podcast niches). It’s feels weirdly boastful and it’s so irritating…another area where priorities are seemingly unaligned with their faith.
When the ladies are at their best, this is a great show. But I just wish they were presenting their best all the time.
Finally, can someone please tell Sophie that the word “and” only has one syllable???? This drives me absolutely batty - and I am a southerner! Ayyyy-und is not a word.

This was a podcast that I used to really enjoy. I will sometimes listen to older episodes and they are delightful! Things started to change once the hosts started to focus on collage sports, particularly Texas A & M. What people wore to the game - great! People that attended the game - fun! What people ate/drank at the game - I’m all for it! I have no interest in individual plays, stats, or coaching decisions. Often more than half of the episodes will be taken over by these topics. I still check in most weeks to see if they are talking about other things but most weeks I am disappointed and skip to the end. I have also cancelled my Patreon subscription for the same reason.
