If you have been following Mike's true crime YouTube channel That Chapter, then you know exactly what I'm referring to, and you were probably just as excited as we were to learn of his latest endeaver into the podcast universe! Mike is by far our absolute favorite true crime "storyteller;" he has this genuine authenticity about him that allows him to both connect with his audience and the victims whose story he is telling. What makes Mike stand out even more is that he is not simply just telling a story; though informative & thorough, what truly resonates with us- and by "us" I mean the family he has created in his audience- is his uncanny ability to use both humor & compassion to really allow the victim's voices to be heard. It is hard to imagine being able to laugh when listening to true crime with all its sorrow or gore, but Mike sprinkles in the perfect mix of genuine humor and sarcasm while also maintaining an atmosphere of absolute respect; I think you would be very hard-pressed to find another Podcaster who possesses the ability to make you both laugh & cry in the same instance. It is for these reasons, coupled with his authenticness & passionate thoughtfullness for the victims, that really highlight Mike's absolute regard for the human condition. You only have to listen to one of his stories to know exactly what kind of thoughtful and amazing human being Mike truly is, as he ends every story the same... with a genuine hope that we all "take care of yourselves, cuz Mike love's ya!" Neither is his goodbye contrived nor forced; in fact, it really only serves to reiterate the fact that we are all humans, sharing the same experiences, and we are all in this together; perhaps if the "bad guys" in these stories had heard Mike "giving it a goo," things may have turned out for the better!!! Either way, we will continue to listen and support Mike because he truly is the best! WE LOVE YOU TOO, Mike!

This podcast is, like the YouTube videos, a fresh take on true crime. Mike and Keith’s witty and appropriately sarcastic style is truly addictive. I enjoy the historic crime shows as well as those more current. Keep researching for crimes and criminals that are not as well known but worthy of an episode. I’d love to hear about the two women named Mary Morris murdered within three days of each other in Harris County, Texas!

I started watching this young guy’s YouTube videos about a year ago and like over 3 million others I couldn’t get enough of his comedic storytelling about true crime stories! I think it was a couple months later when I started listening to the podcast channel on Apple Podcasts and I guarantee it is impossible not to absolutely love this guy’s accent, quirky and clever humor and his genuine talent for speaking, I could listen to him read a manual for a microwave and enjoy it!❤️ TOP 3 true crime creators, I would wager anyone following this channel would agree!
