Talkin' Baseball (MLB Podcast) - Podcast Rankings and reviews

So many great things about this podcast — no stupid drive-time sports radio-style hot takes, perspectives from both hardcore fans in Jake and Jomboy and a former MLB player in Trev, the list goes on.

This is a minor detail, but it does make a difference: Talkin' Baseball has the most bearable mid-episode ads of any podcast I listen to. Jake usually rips through them without skipping a beat and then the boys get right back to the content. I don't think I've ever used the skip ahead button. Bravo!

The show recaps the MLB games played twice a week, reviewing each series played. If you only have the time to check in on MLB once or twice a week, this is a great show. Knowledgeable and the hosts love the game.

From the way too long repetitive Blitzball ads, to the random interruptions with canned Mountain Dew ads or random ads in Spanish (for an English language pod??), they have made the pod much less enjoyable to listen to. If they can’t limit the number, at least plan some ad breaks and don’t interrupt the conversation mid sentence to talk about Mountain Dew.
And enough with the sports betting ads. Obviously a problem with all sports podcasts now but the amount of betting ads actually turns some listeners away.

This podcast gets me into the MLB more than ever. Whenever I need to be caught up on what happened, this pod’s got my back
