Strangers on a Bench - Podcast Rankings and reviews

I stumbled upon this podcast, and thought…”this might be a nice alternative to all of the gritty and dark news/crime podcasts that seem to fill my feed, these days. I don’t regret a second of time I’ve spent listening to these seemingly ordinary stories, from seemingly ordinary folks. It’s nice to hear the complete honesty from people who are totally free in their anonymity to just share the things that are on their hearts. Great stuff…keep it coming!

The charm of this podcast is real people opening up to talk about their lives in a therapeutic kind of manner. You find self reflection, joyful moments along with some regretful moments. Tom has the uncanny ability to get people to open up with simple prying questions disguised as a statement with some laughter now and then. I have faith in humans after listening to a spectrum of people and their thoughts and ideas. Everyone seems to be hopeful.

There are few podcasts worth recommending these days. So many are scripted, slow paced to stretch out thin content, and/or repetitive. This one is fresh, genuine, interesting and delightful. I will recommend this to all the pod listeners in my life. Thank you!

What an amazing idea that Tom and his team have created. In this polarized world a few minutes listening to total strangers connect and communicate and share some laughs “Quiet Chainsaw Man” and heart “a tree in the park” brings me joy. And when I caught on around episode 3 that the songs were created based on the conversations I can’t wait to see what the end brings!!
