I get a very warm, cozy feeling from listening to the conversations that Sam and Elliot bring to the table. The ability to share their experiences (and and in turn make the audience feel understood and not alone) is a true gift these two offer to their listeners. With a name like “something more human,” I’d be let down if every moment of this podcast was perfectly polished/edited. Instead they offer what feels like a way more genuine and real interaction, something more relatable to those of us who are imperfect and striving for self-acceptance.

There’s no such thing as a perfect marriage but I can get it as close as I can. The little lessons I’ve learned from this podcast have been inspiring and heart felt. The episode with Elliot’s parents is my favorite so far especially the whole discussion regarding respect for elders and aging. Great content, keep the episodes coming.

Conversations were unfocused; the female host seems more informed, but the male host rambles on far more frequently. Listening is sort of like sitting in on a couple’s awkward therapy session.
If anything, I took away the perils of excessive introspection; trying to “hack” and explain and understand yourself can lead to self-obsession and unhappiness. There’s a fine to walk between listening to yourself and becoming beholden to your feelings.
