After receiving a text-alert that a SNAPPED! Podcast was available and after having watched the show all weekend and Monday, I was skeptical of a podcast's ability to add anything to the mix. Ultimately it came down to not being able to pass up another chance to listen to "THE VOICE" aka SHARON MARTIN, etch another wicked modern-day fairytale. I was not disappointed. The podcasts revisited various cases from SNAPPED! Episodes AND provided additional information including prison interviews with some of those who were convicted of murders. There were also interviews with family members, investigators, etc. SHARON MARTIN applies the ultimate icing on the cake by sharing her personal take on both the new information revealed in the podcast episodes as well as her feelings about the crimes themselves. I originally intended to listen to one podcast, I listened to them ALL. They are thoroughly enjoyable and well worth the time spent!

I have always been a big fan of the tv show, so when I found this format I instantly added it to my rotation. The stories are well told, with good pacing in each episode. I like to listen to the podcast and then find the episode to watch on Peacock to see if the people look like what I imagined when listening. This is a great podcast to listen to if you are a true crime junkie like myself.

Multiple episodes end mid sentence, or even before the show is clearly over. I’m wondering if they’re not fully uploading the entire episode, or what, but it’s pretty frustrating!! Also, some of the recorded trials/interviews are way quieter than the people sharing the episode. It’s hard to hear when the volumes change so frequently.

After the millionth time of being startled by the abrupt ads, I decided I wanted to leave a review specifically to address this issue, and funny enough, the first review I see is about the same issue. This is actually a pretty good podcast, but the very loud ads are really affecting the enjoyability of the show. It’s like getting into your car and starting it up to find out the radio volume was up all the way and scared you half to death every time an ad comes on.

The voice and tone of the narrator is absolutely horrible. She distracts from the entire podcast to the point I find that I’ve played entire episodes without actually listening. Audio throughout each episode isn’t consistent so I’m constantly adjusting there. I want to enjoy this podcast because it’s an interesting foundation, but these two factors simply make it impossible.

The show volume is so low I need to put my phone volume on high then the commercials blast your eardrums out. Honestly, the show isn’t good enough to make putting up with that worth it. I honestly can’t even listen to it with the volume so low it’s ridiculous.
