Boze is amazing at putting together a cohesive story while including plenty of details, yet not too much of the gorey details to make it hard to listen. Her respect for the victims is more than evident, and she does a great job of explaining a part they played in the story without dragging them through the mud but also not acting as if they did everything perfectly. She paints them as human. Personally, I really appreciate that since the stories aren’t just about actions but also the psychological aspects behind those actions and behaviors. I will say, she isn’t completely impartial, sometimes being a bit more emotionally invested than other true crime podcast hosts, however I feel like it only works more in her favor. It comes across as more interesting, has a little feeling as if you’re listening to a friend telling you this intricate, juicy story in detail. Again, she is always so respectful to the victims and victim’s families.
Overall, she does an incredible job telling the stories she chooses, also encouraging listeners to look at and reflect on themselves and those around them.
