This podcast didn’t initially grab my attention as I’d hoped, I thought it just wasn’t my vibe. However, I quickly grew the love it. The various supernatural, paranormal, and true crime podcasts I’ve enjoyed over the years have all seemed to follow a very specific format and Sightings is welcome change of pace to a genre that is not only tried and true, but tired. The dramatization at the beginning of the episodes is on point, well-written, and well-performed. The breakdown at the end is enlightening, thoughtful and just the right amount of humorous. Keep it up, you guys. I’m hooked.
I don’t get the bad reviews, the show is more for entertainment value than deep fact dives but it does that really really well and definitely held my interest. I love how each new episode the stories are set up a little differently so you never know exactly what You’re going to hear and the host is always careful to point out any embellishments he makes for the sake of entertainment value. Definitely a fun listen and worth giving a try, especially if you’re into audiobooks. McLeod Andrews is one of the best narrators out there and the perfect person to act out these little stories as he manages to make it feel like each is being told by a completely new person
I really enjoy how much fun these guys have doing this podcast. It’s like two nerdy friends (no offense, I’m a nerd too), just getting together and playing around with some great stories!
This podcast has so much potential. Please support what these gentlemen are doing. True crime & real stories, shared via spectacular storytelling (in terms of both writing and verbal reiteration), followed by an active discussion between two people who clearly enjoy each other’s presence. Yes. Yes yes yes. I sincerely hope the momentum that’s deserved is what’s received. Thank you both for having the courage to share what makes you smile with excitement.
These two are clearly not well versed in these stories of high strangeness. Then the writer just makes up stuff to fill in the gaps or make it a better story. I just listened to the Loch Ness episode and could not believe my ears. I’ve heard a great deal of Nessie stories but this sounded like the script of a terrible SyFy channel movie. This podcast is more a kin to creepy pasta than any other show approaching the subject matter seriously. If you’re into high strangeness, I would look elsewhere.
