I love hearing David in this setting, speaking casually with friends, sometimes pure comedy (as with Odenkirk or Bateman) and sometimes just good conversation with no pressure to garner laughs. After briefly meeting him on tour, the guy is really genuine and that comes out in this podcast. I highly recommend it.

I want to love this podcast, but so much of it is unlistenable. The entire Fred Armisen episode is a prime example. The “far away from the mic pretending we’re not doing the podcast yet” bit is unlistenable from an audio quality standpoint and from a content standpoint. I can’t understand anything if I’m listening in my car and it’s just quite tedious.
Once the podcast gets rolling it’s usually pretty good and interesting but the first 10-20 minutes is sometimes just a total throwaway and it doesn’t make me want to keep listening.

I absolutely love David Cross and his chosen guests. At times I feel like I am hearing more about our host than the guest though, so it would be nice to have a little more reciprocated conversation. Still love David Cross’s humor and I look forward to every podcast!

Very funny podcast! David can talk about serious matters, but also carry on a dry-witted improv bit for shockingly long.
I've enjoyed every guest, except for Robby Hoffman who seems very selfish and antisocial. But I David did a good job checking her nonsense while keeping it funny!
Keep up the good work!

Love David Cross, I love so many of his guests, I was super excited for this, but after listening to about 15 episodes, I realize that the vast majority of every episode is David reminiscing with only occasional input from the guests. Only a few times was a guest able to hold their own and talk much. I really wanted to like this more than I do.

As a fan of David Cross for many years it was weird to tune into a podcast hosted by David that I didn’t like. Most of his interviews feel jaded and I genuinely can’t tell if he’s doing a bit or is truly miserable in this format. Especially in the Zach Woods interview. Personally I found most of the conversations uncomfortable and somewhat narcissistic.
