i know this will come off as sensitive but think sometimes a different perspective is useful. as someone with a lot of experience in queer relationships (not a flex, but maybe lol) many conversations about relationships like ours can feel very invalidating or even pointed. i don't think it was necessary to intro the GA spouses as a "gay couple" who adopted kids and then abused them. their sexual orientation was clear with the telling of the story, especially given that their involvement with the LGBTQIA+ community, a detail which should have emphasized the "in plain sight" aspect of their deception and abuse.
i don't think it was intentional, but wording is important and i could see how that story would feed deluded ideas that gay adopting parents are, themselves, a risk factor. we have seen horrific cases of abuse within "nuclear family" models again and again. just a thought, much love to Mama Jules and Oh No! Media. 🫶
