Huge fan of Malcolm Gladwell. If you like his books, you’ll generally like this podcast. He has such an inquisitive mind and can make just about anything interesting. The first seven seasons of this show are thought provoking and interesting. Season 8, at least so far, is a tremendous bore. It’s just not even mildly entertaining. I highly recommend the first 7 seasons of this show, and just skipping Season 8, as it is different in kind from what preceded it.

Malcolm Gladwell’s delivery of random weekly content exudes a passionate knowledge and consideration for humanity that is rarely seen. I absolutely love this podcast. Don’t think you’d be interested in an episode’s subject? Listen anyways!!! Quality, perspective-altering, and thoughtful work here!

I don’t always agree with his conclusions or his worldview, but what a brilliant podcast. Malcolm has a fantastic intellect and he really knows how to tell a story. I pause after every episode to reflect on what I’ve heard, what I agree with and what I’d challenge if had the chance to debate with him. No other podcast gives me that.

This has to be one of the most amazing and important podcasts I’ve ever listened to!! It’s brilliant, makes you think, teaches you something new. It’s beautifully written, and Gladwell delivers. He has such a wonderfully soothing and comforting voice, with this quiet “I know what I’m talking about, but I’m open to learn and be neutral with my opinions….sometimes”. He’s diplomatic, yet passionate. This is a must listen! Keep up the amazing work! Thank you for this!

We’ve been listening to Revisionist History since the beginning, and have followed several other shows from Pushkin + Malcolm’s recommendations. We’ve enjoyed every episode of RH.. until season 6. It seems Malcolm has stepped away from interesting fact finding and statistical missions filled with wit and humor to strange, and frankly boring, looks into pointless topics. The Little Mermaid episodes were hard to get through and the 3rd part is what prompted this review and a click of the unsubscribe button. Seriously bummed at this fail.

During seasons 1-4, this was my absolute favorite podcast. On release day, I would refresh my feed endlessly just waiting for the new episode to drop and listen to each episode multiple times.

Unfortunately, season started to 5 feel different. Still good, but not like it used to be. Season 6 was extremely disappointing. The final episode about dogs in medicine was interesting, but beyond that I found myself listening to maybe half an episode and moving on.

I know a lot of work goes into producing a show like this one, but I miss the old style. Difficult subjects and riveting stories about race, police, and historical events. Now it feels more like a commercial with significantly less impactful stories.

I’m holding out hope that the next season returns to the original ‘feel’
