Discussion is always pertinent to current events. Viewpoints are always well presented and both sides of issues are presented. Love listening to this. There’s no hate and no hyperbole.

I enjoy listening to very thoughtful debate between the podcast moderators! Pretty fair and often blunt perspective on current events along with informative commentary. Something missing from the majority of mainstream media. Most importantly, the participants do not talk down to you but rather truly debate the issues.

Great reporting from RCP investigations as well!

I love the show and listen almost daily. My only wish is for better microphones! Anyone who is a regular on the show should be required to use decent equipment. Subpar microphones make for echoey, hard to understand audio.

This is one of the best political podcast. they debate the points and are not just one sided. They allow each person to give their point which is a pleasant change from the other podcasts out there.

Completely biased and one sided. As a political news junky, I have always turned to RealClearPolitics to provide an even handed treatment of both sides, but this spinoff podcast is unbalanced. As a result you will get one side and a straw man argument of the other side. For example, the show’s hosts lament the lack of media coverage of the current President’s involvement with his son’s private dealings, when the current president was out of office, and claim media bias…but they don’t present the other side of how a standing president’s family was brought into public office and made millions of the public for their private businesses and little to no media coverage occurred there. Their episode on civic education, while commendable, was erroneous and pitted equality and equity against each other…a common mistake about these two American Values that have been present throughout our country’s history, and arguably makes their point about the need for civic education, although it sounds like they need the refresher…equality is not that every starts the same and equity is not the everyone ends the same, as their guest erroneously pointed out. Equality is about fair treatment under the law, and equity is about acknowledging that not every American starts on equal footing so we should give a boost to those who started with less, not handicap those who started with more! If you want to stick your head into an echo chamber and confirm your biases, this is the podcast for you. If you want real and unbiased analysis information about politics, get your takeaway elsewhere.

The show could be really good but, sadly, it’s not. The hosts are thoughtful and intelligent people but the problem is they treat politics like an academic exercise or a sport. they are very interested in the inside baseball and the Washington insider game but not so interested in how politics affects real people in this country. They would be wise to talk about the impact of policies of both Republicans and Democrats on real Americans and not be so concerned with the scorecard in DC.
