Always gives me a genuine LOL, belly laugh. I have found that listening to the podcast, even when I miss the funny accompanying photos, is as good as seeing the show on TV. The show is a winning combination of not just funny, but outrageous humor & serious politics. And these days, what more could one ask? Obviously, it helps to share Bill Maher's politics & sensibilities, (as I do), but whether one agrees with them or not, I think it undeniable that his pieces (or rants) are very well written.

Bill Maher is brilliant, incredibly funny, folksy (yes folksy), informed (of current events and history), and somehow summarizes and articulates what is obvious that no one else has put together and/or is not bold enough or has the platform, that allows Maher’s unvarnished brand of telling it like it is. For example, this weeks show and his analysis of Bob Mueller’s report. He nailed it. Find it and watch it. More than anyone in the media, even Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O’Donnell, Maher gives voice to and offers a novel perspective on the insanity of current events...connecting dots in ways that are unique to his genius and delivered via very smart humor. His is a unique voice. I hope that he lives long and well and never moves in from his HBO show.

First thing I do on Saturday morning is listen to this podcast. More than ever, his intellect and humor are a respite. Great guests, great discussions, and views from all sides are debated. LOVE New Rules- hilarious!

Good to see somebody tackle the difficult subjects with common sense and humor. Really enjoy and appreciate the respectful interviews with opposing political viewpoints, our country needs a lot more of this right now.

I loved Bill Maher for at least two decades. Often insightful, always quick and witty, is what he used to be. There are still glimmers of that brilliance here and there that might be worth a listen to, but sadly he is not who he was. He has become ‘that guy’ who spends most of his time whining about ‘the kids today.’ He has tragically bought into the right wing talking points on so-called cancel culture with nary a critical thought. And he goes on and on about it until even his oldest, loyalist fans can’t take him anymore. I hope he can snap himself out of it.

Maher willfully misleads his audience in an attempt to keep their attention. Maher misrepresents statistical data in order to craft outrageous yet inaccurate narratives.

If you are looking for interesting political stories based entirely on factual information then you should try some other shows; perhaps Young Turks, or anything that’s written by Robert Evans. (Robert Evans the journalist, not the TV producer from the 80s.)
