This podcast is single-handedly making me want to play hours and hours of Call of Cthulhu. It’s funny, spooky, clever, excellently paced, just awesome stuff. Ross is fantastic at improvising these horror scenarios on the fly and all of the players don’t just keep up, they add their own perfect twists.
I can’t recommend this highly enough!

Like many, I have a love of TTRPG actual play podcasts, but I also have a raging case of ADHD and a tendency to zone out while listening. That didn’t happen here. Not only did I get through four episodes in the span of two days (when I normally only listen to podcasts while driving, I had this one on any chance I had), but I was enraptured the entire time. Ross’ storytelling and scene setting are masterful, even more so knowing they are entirely improvised, and I was focused on the edge of my seat wanting to know what happened next. The other players at the table deserve no less praise, as seasoned players they contribute to the story as much as its keeper does. I only wish there was more to listen to, but this podcast has very quickly become one of my top favorites, and I’ll definitely be re-listening to episodes while I wait for new ones each week.

Ross Bryant is a national treasure as an improvisor. Here, in the role of the keeper, Ross again does an amazing job of improvising and guiding his players through their adventure. Ross descriptions are evocative and his characters memorable. Plus, he has incredibly talented improvisor guests. Great Call of Cthulhu gameplay, and a lot of fun to listen to!
