Goodbye 2020, (fart noise) forever!
Somehow, someway, we have crawled our way to the finish line 2020. Which means, against all odds, it’s time for our end of year retrospective. We do our biggest FMK dump ever to cover all the things that we consumed this year that we didn’t get a chance to talk about. We’ve got so much for our Fuck/Marry/Kills for this year that we could barely fit it all in! I could list it all here, but where’s the fun in that?

I don't know who invited Dane Cook
The Emmys went virtual this year and - SURPRISE - they weren’t that bad! We recap the telecast to give you the highs (Schitt’s Creek! Watchmen!) and lows (awkward Zoom mishaps!) you should care about. Plus, we blaze through a lot of other ups and downs in pop culture, including Netflix’s The Duchess, Cobra Kai and The Home Edit, and Drew Barrymore’s new talk show. And yes, we DO talk about that Brad and Jen Fast Times reunion. DUH.

Two Batmans with one stone
What do the trailers for The Batman and and Enola Holmes have in common? NOTHING! But we talk a lot about about both of them and why we’re excited for one and absolutely not for the other (can you guess which is which?). Plus, up for discussion is the new period-lesbian-paleontologist drama Ammonite, Showtime’s entry into the Trump cosplay hall of fame, and the wildly fascinating documentary Boys State.

He shared his rolling pin with her and he didn't have to!
We discuss a slew of new shows and movies for you to binge to cure that quarantine boredom: Netflix’s Teenage Bounty Hunters, HBO Max’s Unpregnant, and the epic German drama Babylon Berlin. And if you thought you were rid of Russell Brand in the year 2020, you would be wrong - we chat about his inane and unsolicited “hot take” on Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s bomb-ass anthem ‘WAP.’

Jurassic Park: Transformers Edition
A League of Their Own is getting a series at Amazon, Laura Dern and Sam Neill are headed back to Jurassic Park, and we talk about Mulan (again). Plus, we’re crushin’ on Beyonce’s triumphant Black is King, Hulu’s Palm Springs, and whole bunch of other things we’ve been digging over the last few weeks like Indian Matchmaking, Perry Mason, Emmy nominations, and more.

Just watch the fucking show
We took a much needed break, but we’re back at it with lucky #13! This week we’re talking the killer new Expecting Amy documentary on HBO Max, the dream-come-true reunion special for the painfully under-appreciated Happy Endings, Padma Lakshmi’s Taste the Nation on Hulu, and more. Plus, we throw our own In Memoriam segment as we lament about all of the movies that got shelved for 2021 due to this damn pandemic.

Does he know how to close his mouth?
As we barrel into June, we discuss the gift that keeps on giving in RuPaul’s Drag Race season 12, the sharp second season of Dead to Me, and the underrated Search Party and its highly anticipated third season coming exclusively to HBO Max (ugh). Plus, we have a heated discussion about the head-scratching opportunities being given to SNL “bad boy” Pete Davidson and LOLWTF over Robert Pattinson’s GQ “photoshoot”.

Binge the Quibs?
This week’s episode is Simply the Best. We dig into what made Schitt’s Creek so damn special now that we’ve had time to come down off the series finale, plus we discuss Disney+’s new nostalgia wet dream Prop Culture, the new Bill and Ted movie, Killing Eve style, and what in the hell is going on over at Quibi.

Nobody's perfect, not even in hand acting
This week we were up in horsey heaven, riding high off the Parks and Rec special that gave us all a big ‘ol dose of unadulterated joy. But we had a lot of other things to discuss besides Leslie Knope and the gang getting back together, like HBO’s new show Run, Hulu’s High Fidelity, and some really unfiltered opinions about the latest installment from HGTV stalwarts the Property Brothers, Celebrity IOU.

A tootsie roll of a show
What do John Krasinski, Jaime Camil, Melissa Villaseñor and Naomi Campbell have in common? They’re all in some way or another making us laugh and/or swoon this week. Between #SomeGoodNews and absolutely savage Making the Cut commentary, we’ve got plenty to recommend to get you through another week of this nightmarish dystopian hellscape.

It's Black Mirror meets 90 Day Fiancé
Love is Blind has obliterated all in its path, John Mulaney continues to reign supreme when he hosts SNL, and Aidy Bryant wows with a pitch perfect season 2 of Shrill. And don’t even get us started on a Friends “reunion.” All that and more on our latest episode of Pop Culture Fuck Marry Kill!

And none for Sam Mendes: The 2020 Oscars
The 2020 Academy Awards capped off what has been a truly wild year for awards shows. There was no host, Brad Pitt won his first ever Oscar, and there was a motherforking Parasite sweep! But of course we’re not here just to talk about who won what. We’re talking all things Oscars, from the yays, the nays, to the what in godforsaken hell?!

He applauded himself: The 2020 Golden Globes
The 2020 Golden Globes officially kicked off awards season (our favorite season!) this week, so you know what that means! It’s time for Brandi and Kristen to put on their couture gowns and Tiffany diamonds and talk shit about the drunk uncle of awards shows. Who really cares about winners and losers - we dive into what you really care about - the good, the weird, and the absolute horseshit.

AppleTV+ doo-doo whatever
It’s a clip show extravaganza this week! Kristen and Brandi dug their way through the dumpster fire that was 2019 to bring you their Fucks, Marrys, and Kills for the entire year. There’s vagina balloons, reality TV villains, bitchy politicians, and sex addicts. What more could you want?

He's having a real Don Johnaissance
This week on Pop Culture Fuck Marry Kill, Kristen and Brandi discuss Olivia Colman’s eyes, the surprising resurgence of Don Johnson, and the - ahem - long and short of wig culture on AppleTV’s The Morning Show. Special guest appearance from Oysters, Clams, & Cockles’ co-host Barrett Dudley for our “Three-Eyed Maven” game.
✋ Yay! You have heard it all
