One Strange Thing: Paranormal & True-Weird Mysteries

I really enjoy the stories. The host infuses just enough humor to keep the tales paranormal. Very soothing voice.

Not anything too engaging, but a staple in the rotation. Tons of Rando unknowm info to send you down your own unexplored avenues and alleyways. Never one to exhaust a topic or go too deep. You are given just enough info to pique your interest, thus you get to do some further researching on your own time. To be honest, that is a refreshing quality that not alot of podcasts do. Typically you’re getting beat over the head with the subject being discussed. But its more like a brief breeze here. Which gives the listener the option to continue exploring topics on their own volition. Best podcast of its kind, easily.

I’ve sifted through so many bad paranormal podcasts. So many hacks out there trying to be Opie and Anthony while reading bad “spooky” Reddit posts and filling, countless hours of airtime with inane banter. One strange thing wastes no time, Covering interesting subject matter with a concise and engaging narrative. This is the definitive podcast of the genre.

laurah norton, in a voice as smooth, and dark, as molasses, brings listeners the news of the day, except for one strange thing: the news is of the paranormal, and the day is whenever something strange appeared in the local paper. an old doll seeking vengeance (robert, please don’t come after me because i said you were old), underground tunnels on fire for decades, the moth man? maybe you’ve been there, seen that, but the delight of one strange thing is in the delivery, the suspenseful unspooling that leads to the hitch. it is smart, funny, and strangely, all gleaned from the news archives. what more could anyone possibly want? except paranormal popcorn?
