I have been listening to On Purpose for close to a year now. I started listening around the time my marriage started to fall apart. This podcast has been so instrumental in helping get to where I am now, emotionally, spiritually, and mentally. The great insights from Jay along with his guests have really helped me grow and heal. It is also a great place for book recommendations as I find myself reading books that were mentioned of those from one of his guests. So grateful to be able to listen to you nearly everyday and along in the Calm app where I try to do The Daily Jay with my kids at least a few times a week. Thank you for everything you do and for your purpose and for sharing that with all of us.

I am a 23 y/o women who stumbled on this podcast a little over a year ago and never took full advantage of this until 2 months ago. I always struggled with active listening, and used to speed through the podcast one after the other feeling as if I was doing my part at turning my intentions into action. One of Jay's missions is to make wisdom spread as far and as fast as entertainment and this podcast does just that. He is extremely well spoken and easy to understand, and includes guests that are relatable with a variety of inspirational backgrounds. I began taking notes while listening and discovered a monumental switch in my well-being and essentially the way I learn and absorb information in general. I make journal prompt from most episodes and constantly look for depth in each, which is something Jay has taught me.
I was raised in a radical religious church, and as a person in recovery from alcoholism I have struggle to reach a spiritual awakening in order to live a fulfilling life. This podcast has transformed by my mental strength to understand concepts about religion and spiritual beliefs in a realm I can relate to and comprehend. I've reached self-growth in a way I never thought I was capable of. This podcast is truly the modern version of spoken word, and I bring up this podcast nearly every day when I interact with just about anybody. "Those who are healthy, wealthy, and wise choose education over entertainment" (Jay) and this podcast is both highly educating and entirely entertaining. Thank you for sharing your purpose with the world Jay, you've changed my life.

I started listening at a difficult time in my life when I really felt I needed to learn from a calming, nonjudgmental wise voice. That was a few years ago. I continue listening because I notice myself reflecting and evolving as a person while listening, especially compared to passively watching TV. I keep sharing this podcast with loved ones because it is rich with advice and has something for everyone. I am grateful Jay Shetty shares his lessons in an easily approachable way, and that he interviews in a way that has people sharing their inner dialog that others can learn from.

I started listening to this podcast at the beginning of 2022. My life felt like it had fallen into shambles. This podcast started putting new perspectives into my life, growth, and helped me cut out old toxic habits. Then I started sending episodes to my family. Especially my little brother who has been going through a lot mentally. He has made so much growth and has completely altered his mindset. Now they all listen to this podcast. It has helped all of us so much and has also brought us closer together as a family. Implementing all the information we can. Thank you Jay for changing our lives!

I love Jay Shetty and his work. He’s an amazing human being and his wife Radhi is also a wonderful light in this world. They have both helped me so much with their wonderful work to understand how to better connect in romantic relationships and also how to better myself as a person, as a woman, and as a mom to my son. That being said, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention two things that need improvement. (1) There was a podcast with a health diet “expert” a while back that needs to be deleted and/or addressed. It seems to encourage unhealthy eating habits that can be extremely dangerous to people and especially women if they follow this man’s advice. He stated he didn’t eat 3 meals a day and barely ate at all. That’s not healthy. People can end up fainting or passing out if they follow this diet plan and don’t eat. Especially for women or pregnant moms, this is really really dangerous and unsafe advice. Jay Shetty interviewed this man and neither person addressed the dangerous risks and unhealthy risks to this type of diet. People need nutrition to care for their health and they need food otherwise they can literally pass out and become very ill. I think it’s quite irresponsible to put this podcast and let these dangerous comments said by this man be exposed out without addressing health risks. This man is not a real health expert. A doctor would never recommend not eating! Please please please put another podcast out that talks about healthy and responsible eating and how people (especially young girls and pregnant women) can take care of their bodies by eating 3 meals a day with protein and vegetables and fruit. Many women who listen to this podcast are moms (like me) and we need to care for our bodies and our children. Do not put out podcasts that miseducate and perpetuate false information that can put our health at severe risk or can hurt our children. The other criticism is the marketing of Kim Kardashian. Can you please spot light other people in your group marketing g texts? I don't like how Kim Kardashian seems to be getting an unnecessary spot light compared to other well known celebrities or well known speakers and experts in their respective fields. Kim Kardashian so not a bad person but a lot of her work glorifies self image as well as BULLYING against women. She bullied Taylor Swift to her advantage to lift herself up absolutely disgusting behavior . If she is going to be on your podcast I would hope she has the decency as a human being to address this and apologize to this female she tried to tear down. Taylor Swift didn't deserve that bullying and abuse by Kim Kardashian.

This used to be an amazing & inspiring spiritual delight. Now it's a vehicle for A Listers & the 1% to make even more money. Imagine having lived as a monk & given up on all material things & then leaving monk hood in order to sell your soul & invite the Hollywood Elite & billionaire capitalists to spew pseudo spiritualism with you in the name of the $.
The phrase you will hear the most on this podcast is "YOU CAN READ ABOUT THAT IN THE BOOK...".
I do believe the last guest on this podcast not selling a book was ironically Kim K.
The most uncomfortable listen & my final reason for unfollowing is the not-Oscar-winning performance from Jada Pinkett with her history changing stories about her relationship with Will.
Most of us do realize A Listers play a long game. Yet we listen to this giggly ("you know what I'm sayin") story of how Jay began mentoring Jada spiritually 1.5 years ago so she could feel loved by God & how Jay said she should write a book & now what do you know, here we are listening to this podcast which is giving Oprah late 90's interview vibes.
It's predictably the elite helping out each other so they can both come out financially on top. Again.
If we weren't originally listening to this podcast for the narcissistic celebs selling us books it's at our expense. If we are here because we want to gain insight of sources greater than ourselves from true spiritual ambassadors & learn better tools for self help, self care, self worth, empathy & deep understanding should we maybe choose instead to listen to more pure & genuine podcasters who don't have BMW ads multiple times during their content. Not even just any ads. $100k + car ads. Think about that too! Capitalist spiritualism should not be a thing!
