This podcast pulled me in and left me in tears more than once. The story is told so thoughtfully, and I can’t stop thinking about Shiela’s forgiveness and the compassion she found for Brent. No one can say for sure why he did what he did, but despite the trauma it caused, my heart goes out to Brent and his family.
The Tri-State scandal told by Shaun was exceptional. It offered an emotional look at a complicated situation that challenges your judgments. If you’re looking for a podcast that’s raw and thought-provoking, this one will stay with you long after it’s over.

I’m completely hooked on Noble! The storytelling is top-notch, and each episode leaves me on the edge of my seat, eagerly waiting for the next one. The only downside? Having to wait a whole week for the next episode! Please consider releasing all the remaining episodes—I’d love to binge the entire series. If you’re looking for a podcast that will draw you in and leave you wanting more, Noble is a must-listen. Highly recommend!

True crime podcasts like this are hard to find—this story is movingly told with vivid interviews interspersed with well written reporting. The quality is top notch & the story is wild & gut wrenching. Not for the faint of heart, it’s quite graphic, but to me that was necessary to paint the picture of just how atrocious this event was. Shout out to the many heroes in this story who did brave & hard work to expose this injustice & bring a measure of peace to the victims.

I wasn’t familiar with this story prior to listening but I was immediately hooked. The storytelling is smooth. I found myself listening to episodes multiple times to pay attention to the details. I appreciated going into the Marsh family history as being a promenade black family in rural Georgia is an important part of this story. Honestly, I have thought twice about my own burial wishes because of this case. 10/10 have recommended this to just about everyone I know.

Pure propaganda. “I promised I’d show Brent’s humanity” - Host.
We hear the story thru the $3M dream team of defense attorneys — paid for by an Insurance settlement.
$8M from FEMA TAX MONEY to recover only 2/3 of the identities of the victims. No restitution paid. Life sentence — serves only 14 years and complains about being on probation.
Never answered what he did with all the money, while not doing his job. He committed fraud, desecrated human remains, traumatized thousands of families, lost loved one’s remains FOREVER, and created an insane biohazard on that land next to a body of water. Would he want pity for the whole town breaking out into a plague??
Real journalists have to state their conflict of interest. This was not done here. This is unethical, not just for the heinous things said about victims, but for being a puff piece where the host admits to trying to pay a convicted felon for an interview on this podcast that never should’ve been greenlit. This podcast network is going down the drain. Shameful.

This is a story about neglect. Somehow the “journalist” narrator convinced himself that neglecting one’s responsibilities to one’s family and community is really about, as he claims numerous times, “protecting one’s family.” If Mr. Marsh was truly invested in protecting his family’s reputation in that community, he’d have done his job. And if he wasn’t interested in doing that job, he’d have sold the business or found some other way to “protect his family.” He didn’t neglect his responsibilities at the crematorium to protect his family. “Tell the truth,” says the mother at the end. In this podcast no one comes close. The only one who contributes much in that direction is the GBI investigator who seems to say if Marsh had told the truth, he’d have probably already been forgiven by most. But Mr. Marsh doesn’t say a word and probably never will, which may tell you more about who he is now than who he was then. And the narrator just isn’t up to the task. Quite frankly, he seems rather dim. But if you’re compelled by nonsense, have a listen.
