I have listened to all of these two’s episodes and I am so excited that they are going to have a little darling added to their family. They are so caring to each other and their pup Daisy. Ever since I found them they have been a blessing and a improvement to my life. I love their banter and Payton’s story telling is exceptional. Highly recommend!!
I’ve looked at the other receive and I can argue: very focused on the case. I love hearing Garrett talk and saying “oh my gosh” and Payton talking and make things more personable. This is my comfort podcast and I love true crime. Payton puts so much work into researching all the cases and hearing her theories is really cool. Even the ten second updates about our podcaster’s life is interesting! I follow them on Instagram and there is details on the cases and pictures which is super helpful for visuals of who’s a part of the case!
I’ve been recommended this podcast a million times with the husband/wife dynamic positioned as the main differentiator from other true crime podcasts. Finally listened after seeing it on Netflix and let me tell you, while pleasant, charming, and fun this is not the real selling point. I’ve been listening to true crime for 10+ years and have a hard time finding content focused on stories I haven’t heard before. It started to feel like podcasts were taking turns telling the same 300 stories with slightly different takes and tellings. This has NOT been the case with MWMH - I’m like 15 random episodes deep and every case has been completely new to me, and very well-told. And yes, Garret is a value add lol..
I absolutely love listening to Murder With My Husband. I really enjoy the way you guys tell each case while still being respectful to the victims and their families. There is one case I would really love to hear you cover someday, the Idaho 4 murders. This case is especially personal to me because one of the victims was my friend. I would really appreciate hearing you tell their story and bring attention to who they were as people, not just what happened to them. Thank you for putting so much care into the cases you cover. ❤️
Used to be one of my fav true crime podcasts, but I find that so much of their content and cases are the same cases I’ve heard a million times from other TC podcasts and YouTubers. The content gets repetitive and I can’t help but feel disappointed when looking for something new to listen to and a thousand others have covered it already. Research could be better as well as I sometimes hear way more information about a case. Mispronunciation irks me so bad as well. You can’t even take a couple minutes to look up the correct pronunciation of a word/city/name? It’s giving lazy. Oh and another thing the ADS. There are so many of them it feels like it’s majority of the episode and I have to skip ahead and back a million times trying to find the actual story.
I’ve been listening to this podcast for quite a while, I’d say since episode 20 or so, but overtime it feels like it’s decreasing in quality. “Garrets 10 seconds” have gone from a one to two minute segment to a 10 minute ramble, which is often a third or so of the podcast. There’s WAY too many ads now as well, yall have more ad breaks than most 2 hr podcasts I listen too. I also wish there was just more research done into the cases, some things Payton states are simply not true. I used to listen to this podcast as soon as it came out and even used to pay for the ad free/ bonus episode version, and now I only listen to it if I literally have nothing else.
