If you're looking for the definitive podcast on BTK, this should be your go-to reference. Thoroughly researched, well-produced, and deeply insightful—it's the most comprehensive take on the case. Susan Peters’ narration adds an extra level of credibility, given her proximity to the initial investigation during her time at KAKE News, making her perspective all the more compelling.
I don’t get why people are annoyed with the narration. Susan, you killed it!

I was a bit dismayed when I heard BTK was getting the “Monster” treatment, thinking we’d heard everything there is to hear about him. I gave it a try because IMO anything attached to Payne Lindsey or Matt Frederick is top notch. So far, they do not disappoint! The descriptions are surprisingly intense and Katherine Ramsland’s contributions are haunting.

Great series, but if this is your first exposure I would highly recommend checking out "Atlanta Monster: season 1" as a proper introduction. Better mixing of real world reporting & more in depth on its investigation. This one was still good! But I much prefer the older seasons & hope the remaining episodes will change my opinion.

this is such a good listen if you're into true crime — host does an amazing job walking you through the case and giving a new look at an old case. people are being unreasonable about her voice, but since when does someone have to sound exactly like you to tell an effective story? it doesn’t take away from the delivery and if anything it makes the show more unique

Gripping story and lots of good insight into this sicko but please for the love of God, get a proper narrator. This woman sounds like her jaw is wired shut* That is fine as long as you’re not, you know, narrating a pod. May I suggest Paul Mcgann of Real Dictators? I’d listen to him read a phone book.
*Apologies to anyone who thinks describing the narrator as someone who sounds like her jaw is wired shut isn’t ‘serious.’ Newsflash- she sounds like her jaw IS wired shut.
This is podcast, and sound counts for well, everything! This isn’t a rehab ward in a hospital.

I have a tenderfoot subscription but I am still getting ads. Also, even though I listen to mostly true crime, and I’ve heard about BTK many times, this one is a bit too detailed and gruesome for me. I’m sure the narrators voice might grow on me, but that, along with everything else, I’m giving up on it.
