Midnight Library of Baseball - Podcast Rankings and reviews

I listen to a few hours of podcasts per day. The ten hours or so I spent listening to season 2 of MLoB about the film Field of Dreams are among my favorite in 2024. For being about a movie that most people over 30 can quote, there’s so much new behind the scenes stories, serendipity, and truth in the presentation by Ben Orlando. I highly recommend this podcast if you like well produced narratives that will make you smile, laugh, and cry.

Midnight Library of Baseball is truly a masterpiece when it comes to baseball podcasts. Ben Orlando’s attention to detail, his research and interviews keep a listener transfixed, and I know that as soon as one episode ends, I am pumped up for the next.

So glad I found this podcast. It is a must listen to any fan of baseball, from the hardcore (like myself) to the casual.

What an incredible season 2. Huge Field of Dreams fan but had no idea of the backstory and impact this movie had on millions. I cried most episodes - mainly hearing the personal accounts at the end. Truly magical. I think this would make an incredible documentary as well.

Outstanding podcast! The writing, the interviews, the stories, and editing are all top notch! Can’t wait for the next episode!
