I lost my mom in the years post radical mastectomy and have always been vigilant about my chances of getting the disease. This critical leap into this history of a topic not well discussed openly in public sheds a light on cancer care and cancer research I hope will continue to only improve. For any medical breakthroughs, I do hope this history will show how politicians and courts must clear the way for scientific research to continue based on science, not emotion or a politician’s political gain.
