Great podcast and super informative! A must listen for college football fans. The best thing about Josh is he calls a spade a spade for every program in college football. Takes a very objective, unbiased approach to college football, which you cannot say for a lot of the other college football talking heads.

I’ve listened to so many college football podcasts, and this is hands down the best one. It’s not even close! JP covers so much in every episode, and it’s all quality. He’s also legitimately funny. He’s just being himself, and he cracks me up. I literally laugh out loud in every episode. Love this podcast!

I’ve been a Pate State homer for several years and evangelized it to numerous friends. But since Saban’s retirement, the podcast has become difficult to wade through. Unless there’s an interview, nearly every B block (behind realignment and reform) is devoted to Bama. I don’t know Josh’s rooting allegiance, but I’ve become convinced he’s a Bama fan since January. It’s almost as if he’s trying to convince the CFB world about kaelin deboer and bama. Deboer could be great—but there’s nothing unique about what’s happened since his hiring. He’s doing the right thing, but nothing to gush over.
This is no knock on Bama—they’re the fulcrum of college football for 15-20 years. But Pate devoted far less airtime to them when they were perennial #1 than he has since Saban’s retirement. Get back to what made this podcast great—an evenhanded approach to the entirety of cfb.
My four-star rating is based solely on pre-retirement, when it was a five-star podcast. Since then, it’s been a one-star podcast.

Josh is super smart and super fair. Great show if you can handle hearing the truth. Honest voice in the college football world who owns everything he says.

The show puts too much emphasis on power rankings and point spreads and has helped contribute to the inexplicable shift to games not mattering as much as Vegas odds. The spirit of competition and the essence of sports have given way to corporate tv dollars and gambling. The games don’t matter, the hard work of the athletes to overcome diversity doesn’t matter. And for that I’ve lost all interest.

If you want constant doublespeak and backtracking by someone so they can act like their wrong opinion is somehow not what they said and they are actually always right… this is your podcast.
If you want logic and a well explained sound basis when someone gives their opinions… this isn’t for you.
