Jack Benny Show - OTR Podcast!

I enjoy the character based humor of Jack Benny and his sidekicks. Great writing. I also learn about what everyday life was like during World War II, especially from the Fibber and Molly show. Folks really pulled together then, something we sadly don’t seem to do anymore. Since other reviewers have commented on it, I appreciate Rob encouraging us to get vaccinated. We all have a stake in public health.

I have enjoyed this podcast for over 12 years. Great collection & good variety. I appreciate the hosts passion & energy. But I cannot understand these long intros that drift about. They are never edited. Once those are finished, the old intros begin. It simply detracts from the content.

This podcast is a gorgeous tribute to a medium of storytelling whose golden age has passed. The multiple hosts obviously love this entertainment and it feels great listening to hosts who just love these programs with no ulterior motives. (Make money) I had no idea of the impact Jack Benny’s show had on comedy. It is the earliest sitcom. It is the foundation of the Looney Tunes cartoons. Rochester’s character as an equal to the others was ahead of its time. These hosts must have worked hard to produce such great, sound quality. I am forever grateful for your loving efforts. Dave D

I’ve listened to this podcast for years, and I’m extremely grateful for it! Thank you for the seemingly endless supply of laughs, drama, chills and old-timey cigarette commercials. Seriously, if you have even the slightest interest in OTR (Old Time Radio), this is what you’re looking for! Jack, Rochester, Gunsmoke, Suspense... what more do you want?
