TIPS FOR MAKING LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIPS WORK
Since marrying six years ago, Austin and I have had to deal with living separate on multiple occasions. It has never been more than 3 months at a time, but it has taught us a lot. I don’t know about you, but this is something that didn’t come naturally to me at all and has taken a lot of work and intentional growth to get to a place that is healthy for our relationship when living separate is necessary. With the launch of Industrial Tradition last fall we have found yourself living separate more than we like. We knew this going into it so it wasn’t a surprise, but it hasn’t been seamless. The conversation is an intimate and honest one in which we try share as much as possible about the lessons we have learned and our hopes for the future. We offer some tips for others in similar situations in the hope that it might aid you on your journey together. We touch on the importance of conversation and communication, the love languages, independence and remaining grounded and grateful. Please join us as we dive deep into our own history, present, and future!
