My favorite pick me up! Kenzie is the best host, she really makes you feel like you are part of the conversation. I always finish an episode feeling inspired and with new knowledge!

I love this podcast usually, but the latest episode had a guest who advised listeners to stop taking medication (for mental health) and stated that detoxing off of the meds will help you become your authentic self? I love Kenzie and think she does a great job and has awesome opinions, and I'm going to keep listening... but the guest's take on this episode was just NOT it. The guest's insensitive advice could influence someone to go off of their meds and become extremely unwell, have worsening symptoms, and can also be a life-threatening choice. Be careful with your words!

I’m in grad school for social work, to hear a guest say that you should “detox” from your mental health medications is really concerning. Natural remedies are great but sometimes you need mental health medications and that is okay!
Many medications that are used for mental health such as SSRI’s (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) or mood stabilizers can cause withdrawals if stopped cold turkey because of how the medications operate. These symptoms can include fatigue, headaches, insomnia, nausea, etc. Before making any medication adjustments, please talk to a doctor or other medical professional.

This podcast is so hard to listen to. The guest will have a really amazing story or say something great and instead of continuing the conversation or digging deeper, Kenzie will bring it all back to herself. The podcast is supposed to be about guests but it’s literally just Kenzie venting and talking about herself. She’s not a good interviewer. We listen for the guest not to hear he talk about herself!
