One of my favorite and I’ve listened or looked into about every homeschool podcast available over the years. So much valuable information even if your homeschool style or approach is different.
I find so much encouragement & insight from this podcast! I love how this approach does work for our family of 8!
As a first time homeschool mom, Carole’s approach has brought so much freedom! Homeschool feels fun, simple, and sustainable - all pressure is off for me to overperform, which gives me energy to focus on the things that really matter: character, life skills, relationships, great books, faith, etc. 10/10 recommend this podcast and Carole’s seminars!
As a former homeschooler and mom of littles who can’t wait to homeschool my own kids, I love Carole’s podcast SO much! I have been going through and listening to every single one and have gained so much knowledge and such an appreciation for literature just by listening. My mom followed her approach with us and all the time reading together as a family was so precious. I love the interviews of former homeschoolers and especially love the episodes on “preschool”. Thank you Carole for continuing to make these episodes!!!
I was really excited to give this a listen. I’m a homeschooler, who was directed to this podcast by a homeschool group. The first episode I listened to was interesting and helpful, with only glimpses of the host’s and guest’s faith. As I kept listening, it seemed that more and more of the episodes went towards not only Christianity, but evangelical Christianity that uses such problematic and old fashioned language and thinking. Homeschooling does not equal Christianity (!!!) and I’m tired of evangelical groups trying to claim this, “crunchiness”, homesteading, etc. You can be religious. You can not be religious. You can homeschool or not. Such a bummer this podcast can’t stick to the title and had to merge religion into the discussion. As the secular movement grows and gets louder within this educational philosophy, I’m looking forward to finding podcasts that can separate the two and stick to the topic!
