Really good stories if you want to learn about people and events from the past that didn’t come up in school and don’t get talked about much elsewhere. The one about the Rockefeller guy who was probably cannibalized, or the one about how Marilyn Monroe might have been murdered — it’s just cool and weird corners of history. Good stuff!

Love this podcast! Topics are unique and interesting, not always the kind of stuff you see talked about elsewhere. The back and forth between the two hosts is fun as well.

I enjoy listening to this podcast every week, particularly since the format shifted to be more conversational. Both hosts are entertaining and I like the dynamic between them. The stories are presented in a really digestible format, makes a great afternoon listen.
Another review mentioned the female host’s voice was hard to listen to, and I disagree. It is hard not to think that reviewer is a bit of a misogynst.

I have always been interested in historical events, but I’ve never found a podcast that allowed me to explore this untapped resource. I was turned on to this podcast by a friend and I very much enjoyed the two hosts in particular Kaleena who’s intonation and comfortable conversational style is charming. It’s a joy to listen to even when she’s recounting a challenging subject.

Believing the one episode I listened to may have been a poor representation, I tried listening to another. Unfortunately, the hosts entertained themselves with sophomoric giggling and generally behaved like high schoolers trying to impress their friends.
The female host practices a vocal fry that is particularly difficult to listen to, and their mispronunciation of common names and places in history indicates how little work they put into getting to know the subjects they’re discussing.
The duo’s lack of professionalism shows a lack of respect for the audience. Their lack of basic historical knowledge shows a lack of respect for the subject matter.
Given the interesting topics they attempt to cover and the wealth of information avallable to them, these two are missing a great opportunity to produce something good.
If they don't care, why should anyone else waste their time?

While the other reviews of the female’s narration is hard to listen to (voice is just off and pronunciations are just wrong) my biggest problem is how much of the story/info about Titanic and her sinking and aftermath is either missing from the episodes or just plain wrong. These two should have looked into the updated research and information on this topic before hitting record.
