Out of all the fasting podcasts I’ve listened to, yours is one (out of just two) of the very best. I gave several other podcasts a fair try—listened to quite a few episodes—but most left me disappointed. Some presented information that was simply wrong, or with little to no scientific backing. Others were filled with endless chatter and laughter but almost no substance.
Your podcast stands out because it consistently does the opposite. You ground your advice in solid science, not just anecdotes. You keep the tone light without letting banter take over. Most importantly, you offer genuine encouragement and support throughout each episode.
I’m a 66 years old American man, retired, and living in a small remote town in Brazil. Podcasts and books are my lifeline for information and motivation. At my heaviest, I was 255 pounds at 5’6”—medicated for prediabetes, high cholesterol, hypertension, depression, and more. My health and outlook were in an advanced very bad condition.
I first dismissed intermittent fasting as a fad, but I refused to judge without learning more. After studying the science—through books and videos of medical lectures—I decided to try it. Within a week, I reached clean fasting with OMAD (one meal a day). I felt fantastic, the weight started coming off quickly, and within months I was off all medications.
Now I enjoy a slow, satisfying gourmet lunch each day, with only water or black coffee for the remaining 23 hours. Occasionally, I’ll extend my fasts to 2.5 days. I avoid sugar entirely, sometimes using honey, molasses, or stevia only for a few recipes. I’ve cut back on carbs and increased protein, fresh vegetables, and select fruits. The transformation has been remarkable. I lost so much weight so quickly that friends initially thought I was ill.
Today I am a different man. I’m engaged to a wonderful woman, I have a new wardrobe, and most importantly, a whole new outlook on life. I don’t weigh myself often—I prefer to measure progress by how I feel and, yes, by my belt notches. At last check, I was around 170 pounds, and my long-term goal is 150, but I’m not chasing numbers. I’m focused on health, not the scale.
Your podcast has truly been a lifesaver. And I don’t mean that as a flighty exaggeration—it’s a fact. Thank you both so much for what you’re doing.

I left a review and 5 stars for you guys and the show back at Episode 277. Letting you know that I am still on track. I am 70 and have now been fasting for 13 months. I am 130 lbs down and have gotten under 150 lbs!
I have added walking (3-5 miles daily) and resistance bands. I still implement the “actionable” tricks and tips you share, most
notably and consistently the use of ACV and post meal walks. I love your encouraging tone. My complaint? Now that I “binge listened” to all the episodes, I don’t have enough listening material! Thanks for your efforts and help! Such a valuable podcast!

I started my workout journey mid-February and started really diving into this podcast on my morning walks as part of the 75 Hard challenge. The amazing advice has really given me encouragement and strength over the months.
Really understanding the deeper impacts of fasting has given me so much insight into my health and body. In the last four months, I have lost over 53 pounds and have people telling me all the time that I look 10-15 years younger. My resting HR went from 72 to 52, that’s over 10 million less heartbeats in just one year!
Thank you!

Hi. I'm a 66 year old guy with four years of fasting in the bag. Lost 65 lbs at my peak but have been hanging off the wagon for about two years. I need to trim about 20 again. Discovered your podcast while on a solo cross-country drive this week (where I'm working on a seven day fast) I've absorbed about a dozen great shows and you have pulled me completely back into the game. Love the details, granularity, specific, whatever you call 'em. Thank you! I'm back!!!!
