Extrasensory

by Apple TV / Blanchard House

Will Sharpe (The White Lotus) hosts a mind-bending real-life story of reincarnation and a spooky tale of family secrets. In 1950s England, milkman John Pollock makes a sensational prophecy: His dead daughters will be reborn. At first, even his own wife says he’s a crank. But then she gives birth to twin girls who have uncanny similarities to their sisters who died. Suddenly, the world sits up and takes notice. Pollock’s prophecy attracts the attention of a serious American scientist who crosses the Atlantic countless times to study the twins. And his conclusion is astonishing. So, what if death is only the beginning? Extrasensory goes in search of the two people who know the truth—the twins themselves.  Extrasensory is an Apple Original podcast produced by Blanchard House. What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

Gripping from the beginning, but does start to drag on in the middle. The jumping back and forth between dates was a little unnecessary. Overall it is a good and entertaining story; whether or not you believe it was true, false, or somewhere in the middle. It was fun to hear what happened and what this family believed (or didn’t) of it. I hope Extrasensory continues with more stories and isn’t a one season thing.

This podcast was so good. I loved that they’re reached into all avenues of the story and gave a well rounded view. I’d never heard of the Pollock twins and their story was so interesting. Blanchard House really does a good job. The narrator, interviews and voice actors added to the story without overdoing.

K_merr · Jan 2026

An outstanding show/documentary about the Pollock twins, their family and an authors (Stevenson) life long research into reincarnation. All presented in an informative AND entertaining way! Highly recommended.

Johnnyboy5075 · Dec 2025

I believe that the best narratives engage in accurate, in-depth research and ultimately invite their audience to draw their own conclusions. As a person with a journalism degree and an appreciate for a great narrative, I would not have done a single thing differently. I think the best stories are those in which there are multiple perspectives. I glanced at a few reviews and see that people are irritated by a certain level of production when it comes to sound. To each their own, but I think it’s unfair to base an entire review on one element. Will Sharpe was a terrific host. I recommend this podcast to anyone who likes to listen to multiple perspectives and draw their own conclusions.

EmilyEU · Nov 2025

I went in expecting a good story but what I got was a repetitive, poorly constructed piece of narrative manipulation with silly sound effects. They took what few facts there were, leaned on secondary sources for episodes, twisted them into a pretzel, and presented them episodes long as the main narrative. All I could think "where's the actual evidence?". And the ending... don't even get me started..The whole thing felt dishonest and manipulative.

Thomas oxe · Dec 2024

This had all the makings of a great story - weird, mysterious and true. But using fictionalized narrative, bad voice actors, and weak scripting to make it sound like an old school radio mystery robbed it of what might have made it compelling and unique. Disappointing.
