Eggplant: The Secret Lives of Games - Podcast Rankings and reviews

I like how they go deep in this show. Pretty much every episode is a deep dive into either a classic game or contemporary indie game. Often times they will have the devs on which is also a treat. I love that this is a show about game development and game design from game devs - it fosters interesting discussion and useful technical advice for others in the industry but also provides insights for those that aren’t in the industry.

Such an interesting perspective on video games unavailable anywhere else. The hosts are warm and knowledgeable and have excellent taste which makes listening to the discussions around game development and design extremely engaging.

I’ve listened to way too many video game podcasts and none are as joyful or insightful to me as Eggplant. Absolute critical listening for anyone interested in the art of making games
