Diss and Tell - Podcast Rankings and reviews

I’ve finally figured out what I think is the problem: Your podcast promises more than it delivers. You have these great topics, like Patti Lupone vs. Andrew Lloyd Webber. Who doesn’t want to hear about that?! But then, your researchers do virtually no deep diving, and the writing of episodes is bad too. So your show comes off as dull and shallow, like someone’s using press releases and “People Magazine” as their only sources. It’s lazy and I never learn anything new or interesting. Hence, your writers and researchers are doing Matt, Sydney, and the listeners, a great disservice. I rarely listen to your podcast for this reason. Improve the research and writing, and your podcast could be a lot of fun.

I’m so glad I found this podcast! Between the hosts energy/commentary & the detail they go into is really interesting. If you’re like me & you follow TikTok drama way more than a normal person should you’ll like the show.

Fun gossipy show - the hosts have great chemistry and I’d love to hear them do a longer, less scripted show about culture where they could loosen up and chat and make each other laugh more. - a LOT of adverts to skip through but other than that, great stuff

I really wanted to like this podcast (some are great) and I listened to about a dozen before writing a review but I am tired of anyone who isn’t completely woke and far left being vilified by the hosts. Share the story. We get you are strong liberals. But alienating any listener who doesn’t align with your beliefs by treating us like fools made me unfollow. It’s divisive and frankly stupid from a business perspective. Do better guys.

This is the show that should be getting better as time passes, but it actually feels like it’s getting worse. I really enjoyed some of the earlier podcasts, but lately the show is massively disappointing- especially with some really meaty events or dramas. A couple of these were events happening a bit before their time (so to speak), but their is so much bias in the way the approach the topic and in how they speak about some of the associated characters. The episodes become painful to listen to when they do this. Very disappointing.
