I love this podcast because it takes the listener right into the heart of the story! I love the format of three basic parts: a story of ordinary people visiting the place, a historical history of the place, then the end of the story about the people visiting the place. Because of this unique format, I feel as if I am right there at the place! This podcast is so well done that I want to listen to every single one of these podcasts! Thank you for taking me all over the world to the scariest places on earth!
I love that you have stories from all over the world, especially Asia, which is often ignored by horror and mystery podcasts. Asia has a rich horror and ghost tradition, which is sadly overlooked, but you’re doing a great job.
Like Freaky Folklore, Carman brings each topic into amazing life. Her beautiful and haunting voice places a tingle in your ears, that hypnotizes you. The places she discusses and the stories taking place about them are amazing. Definitely a podcast to follow.
I love this show’s content but the music tracks are often incredibly distracting and don’t follow the ups and downs of the story being told. It’s sort of just blasting in the background, regardless of the story context. Either bring the track volume way down or match it to the story.
The content is good but the narrators voice is very monotonous, no feeling. And the music is un needed. Sometimes it gets so loud you strain to hear what she’s actually saying. On to the next one I guess.
Would help to hear the narrator better than the BG music, which is played much louder than the narrator. ☹️
