Best Unsolicited Dating Advice
Dating. I really want to but OMG, it's so annoying in this era to be honest.I recently had convos with 3 friends on consecutive days telling me about their relationship. And I (the single one) was giving them advice. While I was giving them this amazing advice, I realized I currently wasn't taking it myself.Like oookaaaayyy 'Don't settle for anything, there's probably a lot better guys out there too' hahah But really compiled most of my dating wisdom into this episode. THAT I AM TAKING MYSELF. I think dating someone/being in a relationship should ultimately make you feel good and supported. Well, also you need to feel that spark. However, did my best at this topic cause it's been a theme lately. Hope you enjoy!

What makes a 'good life'?
'I don't want to grow old and regret. Feel like I wasted my life. Or I did it wrong' said my friendThis made me think a lot. And I realized that I'm finally at a stage of my life where I feel like I'm doing exactly what I was meant to be doing. I feel so aligned and good, that I didn't know it was possible. I shared 3 aspects that make my life 'good'. Like I feel I wouldn't want it any other way. I feel deeply fulfilled and at peace. Even though, it's always a journey and I'm sure it can get even better. Most importantly, I think finding peace within yourself is the key. This is a very random episode lol but I'm sure it'll give you an AHA moment. Or the courage to just follow your gut. Because I think things just fall in place when you just do things that spark joy or feel good to you. Hope this helps!

Breaking barriers to love
You want it but it's so hard to give and receive. I've always been fascinated by this concept. Okay, love is real. But I meant to say romantic love. I also get that it kinda fades away. Tbh, I'm pretty confused by this topic altogether because it doesn't have an answer. However, I love exploring it. And also, the fact that we're so excited about it when we're younger but lose hope when we get older. And also, talked about how we build barriers to love and how healing traumas can help us overcome that. This episode is pretty open ended and philosophical as I don't really have a concrete answer :) But if you've been thinking about this, maybe it'll give you some more perspective and a laugh. Thanks for listening!

3 reminders for life transitions
Life happens. ALL THE TIME. There's so many things that can happen that change the course of your life. Especially when you're at a crossroad where you don't have a clear path in front of you. I'm currently going through something major and when I was talking to some of my friends, I realized they were too. Here are 3 reminders to keep you grounded in this time of transition. Big or small. :) 1. When things don't work out, maybe secretly they are working out.2. Today is just as important as any day in the future.3. Do your best and then trust the universe, things that are meant to be usually unfold easily. Hope this was helpful! It'll definitely help you feel less anxious and more hopeful about whatever transition period you're currently going through. Also, threw in my recent EMDR experience. Finding your purpose with Ayodeji Awosika
I interviewed one of my favorite authors, Ayodeji Awosika. I've read several of his articles on Medium then signed up for his strength finder kit. After that ended up on his Instagram and asked him to be a guest on my podcast. How wild. In this episode, we talked about Ayo's story and what his work day usually looks like. He also gives advice on how to get out of a bad funk. He shared how investing in yourself is one of the best things you can do. Also, what motivates him to keep going. He dropped a lot of gems along the way. Hope you enjoy it! Check out his amazing freebie to find out your strengths:IG: <a href='

You attract what you are
THIS. I'M SURE. I may question tons of things about the world and universe but this concept has proven to me times and times again. You attract what you are. If you're not excited about the world around you or the people you're surrounded by, maybe it's time to look inside. You can't complain about the energy you're receiving when you don't take ownership of the energy you're putting out. Most times, it's easier to not face our own sh*t and blame it on others but if you really want to change your situation, you always have to start with yourself. Importantly, your thoughts. They are the FOUNDATION of your life and you can see the life they have created for you. OKAY, this may be a hard pill to swallow but that's when the growth happens tbh. We can work on ourselves our entire life and just keep improving but there is definitely a point where you feel confident about the person you are. From there on, life's usually pretty chill. I promise. but you just have to take responsibility for things in your life. Some tough love in this episode but that's what came up. Hope you enjoy lol x

Stop underestimating yourself
why do we sell ourselves short? I have no idea But honestly, you've got to stop underestimating your qualities, skills and good characteristics (note to self as well)I hope you find the courage to accept your uniqueness and let it shine. Choose to do what whatever makes your heart happy and follow your passion. Sharing my little story about graduating as the top graduate and how I really underplayed it. Or actually, everything I do in life. lolI guess, when you're you. You don't realize how amazing you are haha but fr. ANYWAY, hope this fluffy podcast episode reminds you that you're super special and other don't have the same talents or interests as you! So you better own all of you!! Dealing with imposter syndrome is probably an ongoing thing. Also, comparison as well. However, as long as you feel content with yourself and your life. That's all that should matter. OKAAAAY. BYEEEE.

How acceptance changes everything
I may not have all the answers and things might not always go the way you want, but one thing is for sure, just accepting it and leaving it to the universe is the best way. IS THIS TOO OVER SIMPLIFIED? But I swear, there's actually not much you need or have to change in order to feel good.Disclaimer: I can't speak for anyone. Everyone has a different background and experience. Just wanted to share tiny life lessons that make me feel better!

developing self-awareness to be feel fulfilled
Self-awareness so underrated. 95% of people THINK that they are self aware yet only 10% ACTUALLY are! Isn't that crazy?I was like, 'wait, what if I'm not self aware' haha but no, I am. Anyway, I talked about how becoming more self aware and understanding yourself helps you make decisions in your life that feel right. That will actually make you feel fulfilled. There's a lot of things you can read online that tell you what you SHOULD do, what you need to have, what your dream should be like but nothing will help you feel whole unless you figure out what YOU actually want out of life. The first step is to definitely be self-aware and then keep following your bliss. I hope you found it useful :) Have a nice day!

You can choose your experience
Pep talk you didn't know you needed. haha, I didn't know I needed either. Something that's so crucial to internalize is that you do have the power to create your life. Okay, maybe not snapping your fingers easy but you can take small steps towards the life you want. You simply can't sit back and get overwhelmed by the way then choose cheap thrills like complaining or talking crap about others. YKWIM??I also mentioned something that will help you get out of a rut. I hope this episode helps you if you're feeling a bit stuck and changes your perspective into a positive one. Hope you enjoy! have a nice day :)

111. Key to your relationship problems
2021, you're having healthy relationships lol read it on my Instagram feed. But actually I see this every year and if you don't know how to have healthy relationship. You legit can't.Personally, I think relationships are the most amazing investment of our time and energy because they can be very fulfilling and exciting. For a little, I denied that but then ultimately, you become wiser and realize that relationships can definitely add joy to your life. I don't know much about healthy relationships tbh, I assume if you can communicate and be honest with your partner that it can be amazing. The only requirement IMO, is you and your partner having deep understanding of themselves. I hope this helps! P.S. not a therapist, so please consult one if this sparked your curiousity!

110. 2 Important Lessons That Make Life Better
These two important lessons can change the quality of your life. My entire life, more than anything, I've been fascinated by just 'life'. I've loved observing, thinking, contemplating. I've always studied it like it's an experiment. These are the 2 things I've learned that have made my life what it is today and major part of why I feel so content. 1) Power of perspective: I talked about how you can almost change your situation by changing your perspective. The narrative you tell yourself about your experiences becomes your experience so choose your narrative wisely. I expand more on this. 2) Your sense of self worth: I talked about how you can derive real self worth rather than self worth from material or your looks. Not that they are wrong. I love me some great things and good hair days but if your selfworth depends on it then you'll be pretty anxious and insecure most of your life. This can help if you feel anxious or help you develop better self confidence. Hope it was helpful!

Pain. Where do I go? Sometimes I don't get how life was designed. Or how humans were designed to be honest. Somedays things feel a bit unnecessarily complicated and things just don't make sense. Yes, I will still sit down and try to make sense of it like a maniac but I know it'll make me feel better. And also, anyone listening to this episode. I hope you know that you're never alone when you're in pain or going through a tough phase in life. 2020 HAS BEEN SOMETHINGBut here are 3 things I always remind myself when I'm going through it. Hope it makes you feel better!

108. Becoming who you were meant to be
You put yourself in a box? I wish it was that simpleBut in reality, you can’t be defined. It’s definitely one of my obsessions to uncover the truest version of myself and just be EXACTLY that. You hear people say ‘be yourself’ but what is that? What does that mean? And it’s really funny that someone actually has to TELL you to be yourself. WHAT? What is actually holding you back?Okay, I know we want to be accepted and liked. And fit in. but perhaps, the people who are most magnetic are the ones that have the courage to be disliked. Now you may ask, why do you even have this fear? It doesn’t make sense. Truth be told, I don’t know why what our heart wants comes with obstacles. I’m not sure why we have to exert so much power to be who we truly are.If you ask someone they’ll tell you that they know themselves but they might actually be pretty blinded by the society or their culture. Or their surroundings. But back to the question, who are you vs. who you think you are? If everything in the world is a made up concept then you’re actually pretty blank without any labels. No nationality, no race, nothing. You are not your job, you are not any of your relations. Well if you’re spiritual, you can say you just are. The personality is also very complex, you might see a stranger/friend and think that they’re one dimensional. But actually we’re all pretty multifaceted. For example, I really do go to bed every night at the same time. Wake up early. No addictions other than chocolate and coffee. But I listen to really ghetto music. Why is that? I have no idea. I just like it. My style also changes. And that’s why I avoid labeling myself as best as I can. I always try to listen to my heart lol this sounds so cheesy but I feel like I’ve been doing great so farThe first thing I want to emphasize is stop having concepts and ideas about yourself. Yo, I don’t know if this is too out there but when you wipe the slate clean. You’ll see what truly makes you happy. You can then really question yourself, and I promise maybe you might not have any answers right away but you’ll have some paths open up. You find what you look for. The second thing is to stop being scared of sharing your opinion on things. Okay don’t be mean but have an authentic opinion on things. Don’t just agree with people or things. You have your internal compass listen to it. Follow it. I think it’ll guide you with what you want to do. I think everyday you have a chance to come closer to yourself. EVERYONE that you look up to is unapologetically themselves. But how did they get there? So the third thing is to stop your judgement for others and yourself. Because that’s basically your ego getting in the way and as long as your ego plays a big part. You’re looking for admiration, approval or positive feedback. You’re not being you!And last thing, is to definitely NOT be scared of judgement. Do what feels true to you in the moment. What’s true to you might change as you grow and evolve. But do and say what you feel like. The more you break through these barriers, the more you’ll be able to become immune to it. There are a lot of things that people told you that are good and bad but don’t limit yourself. You decide what’s good and bad for you. This is only the surface to be honest, will def do more episodes on this. Hope you enjoyed it. If you’re listening on castbox, do like it or wherever so I know if you liked it. 106. How to create real friendships
Relationship are undeniably a HUGE part of your life. Whether you like it or not, your satisfaction of life depends on the quality of the people around you. And now, you do have a choice in who you keep close. You might be struggling in this area. I was really thinking hard. Then I sat down and did a comparison of what I think of as good friends and people I settle for. I also realized the importance to actually BE a good friend to have real friendships. And I talked about it here. Hope this gives you something to think about and evaluate the peeps in your life. Have a nice day,Nabeelah
