We’ve seen a huge wave in True Crime podcasts in the last 8-10 years, and although I used to love them, I started to feel icky about them. So many make light of, and profit from the horrors that happen to people, especially women. Often they can be insensitive towards the victims families, and most don’t do their own research, instead reading off of Wikipedia articles. Counterclock is NOT that. Delia does an amazing job as an investigative journalist. First of all, her respect and compassion for these families is so clear in everything she makes. She often is sought out by the families and gives them a voice. She also is really thoughtful of the details she shares so she stays respectful to the families. Not only that, but her investigative journalism adds so much evidence to the case, bringing greater chance that these cold cases might get solved! The stories are told well, compassionate to families, and artfully researched. Truly 10/10, you can’t get any better True Crime than this!

I’ve been listening to each season, all 5 seasons, throughout the summer of 2023. I’m a true crime tv viewer, but this podcast has opened a completely new world. The investigation and time spent to track leads & people down from long ago is incredible! Delia has guts & the bravery it takes to cold call these people & get details. Traveling to locations to give us a better picture. I’m in awe. Love, love this podcast & the deep dive procedure. Thank you!

Every season is riveting without being sensationalized, heartfelt and sensitive to victims without being treacly, meticulously researched without being dry, and the absolute pinnacle of true crime reporting.
I heard this was a “facts not feelings” podcast and was intrigued. And boy was that accurate because the host is painstaking in her fact-finding of every detail.
In a sea of true crime podcasts, demand the best! Give this a listen!

Not only does Delia share these tragic stories with us, she is actively investigating these cases, which makes this podcast a standout amongst the true crime genre. These cases are so old, it seems like Delia is the only one out there bringing voices to the families, who no doubt, still mourn the losses of their loved ones. Her empathy for the people, whose lives were torn apart by these horrific crimes, is evident in each episode and her attention to detail, leaving no stone unturned, is commendable. Though she doesn’t always “solve” the crimes, she brings the investigations into the 21st century by using Holmes-esque deductive reasoning, as well as, modern forensic science tools, leading the listener to draw their own conclusions about what really happened to these poor souls. Amazing work, Delia. Thank you for all you do.

I have been a huge fan of Counter Clock since season one was airing. However, season six has completely lost the plot. We’re initially invested in a victim and his family and then the narrative completely devolves into rabbit trails that would require the listener to create a giant map to follow along. It doesn’t do any of the victims justice because new people are introduced so often that you can’t keep up. I greatly appreciate the detailed research but it wasn’t organized in a palatable, cohesive manner. What a shame. I hope the show gets back to its roots.
