This podcast is one of the many things that made me fall in love w/ the city of Chicago. I started listening when I loved to Chicago last year for grad school while I commuted for hours a day on the EL. This podcast helped me learn the history of the places that I passed on the train and where I was visiting. I love how he explores the lesser discussed history of the city. I also really appreciate the diversity of perspectives that he incorporates into his episodes. You can tell a lot of love and thought goes into each episode. Even if you aren’t a history buff or a Chicago resident, you should give this podcast a listen. It’s awesome. Please keep up the great work!

Tommy Henry does his homework! I give this podcast an A+. What a great way to learn interesting stories about Chicago history. Not always just discussions about the obvious local history but deep dives into long forgotten Chicago stories. I eagerly await each new episode. He also has a great voice and narrates his stories in such an engaging way. Can’t say enough great things about this podcast.
