This is , by far, the best true crime podcast out there. The episodes are meticulously researched, the presentation is top notch and the selection of cases is always exceptional. I have been a fan for years and when they go into hiatus I go back and listen to older episodes for my fix. There are so many things I love about this podcast but the one thing that always stands out is the respect and care that the host shows for the victims. There is no smarmy quips or jokes melded into the grave subject matter. This is where a lot of true crime podcasts put me off. The host always respects the subject matter and it shows. Well done!

I am a fan of the best true crime podcasts (and have been for years). I can say with great confidence that Casefile, with its outstanding “mystery” narrator “KC” with his perfect voice and Australian accent, plus the outstanding writing and research, is the *perfect* true crime podcast experience. Nothing else comes close. Casefile is a serious true crime podcast so there is no “comedy/banter between hosts” routine, which only a few podcasts do well (way too many amateurs think they can “do” comedy/true crime and the results are painful).

My all-time favorite episode, or rather series of episodes, is the stunning Lesley Molseed case — this is a case involving a long-unsolved child abduction and murder from the United Kingdom. Casefile covers all of the twists and turns in the decades-long case in a deep dive that is **outstandingly** done. That case, its incredible resolution (there is a rare bit of real audio dropped in from a UK arrest — I absolutely sobbed like a baby when I heard it), and Casefile’s coverage of it drew me into the world of true crime podcasts/podcasting. Brilliant!

for not reviewing this outstanding podcast sooner. I’ve listened to every episode and marvel at the thorough and detailed research that goes into each case. Truly, I doubt there’s a true crime podcaster out there that delves as deeply into the facts of a crime as this smart, articulate and insightful gentleman. Not only that, his accent is lovely and there is a soothing and pleasing quality and tone to his speaking voice. Each story is delivered with clarity and professional objectivity with just the right amount of sensitivity to the victims without being overly sentimental. This one is head and shoulders above the rest.

Stories are beautifully written and reported while keeping the editorializing out of it. They treat those involved with respect and don’t exploit them which is something I value with true crime entertainment. I enjoy listening especially because I am reminded that there are real people on the other side of the mic and it helps spread awareness and keep the memories alive of those who have passed. Wonderful job!

Casefile was always consistently the podcast I’d listen to as soon as a new episode dropped. The story telling and research were superior. Lately though, I’ve noticed a disturbing trend where no detail is spared of the horrific ways some of the victims were killed. It’s made quite a few episodes unlistenable. Sharing every lurid detail of a murder victim’s last moments of terror and humiliation is irresponsible and exploitative, to say the least. I really hope the writers and producers of Casefile remember
why they became so popular with fans in the first place: showing respect to the victims whose story they are sharing.

Tuned in for the Yorkshire Ripper series, can’t even get through the first one. It’s really disgusting how the focus seems to be the victims lives & histories (failed marriages etc) which are not only unrelated to the crime but painted in a light that unwaveringly casts blame on the victims. I get presenting the facts, but if you’re going to do an in-depth analysis of Wilma McCann’s life why only include her cheating on her husband and not the allegations of domestic abuse made against him by their children? I’ve just listened to 35 minutes of “bad things done by women who were eventually murdered.” Genuinely disgusting.
