Love this pod. Well researched, and great deep dives. Surprisingly, this show about the worst people in history isn’t just fascinating, it’s hilarious! I cackle out loud while listening in public and in my car. Can’t recommend it enough.

Such a great balance of information, history, humor, and friendly banter. It is also so refreshing that the host holds everyone accountable. He does not romanticize certain times in history or historical figures. Every time I listen, I learn something, all while laughing. Give it a try.

I’ve learned so much from this podcast and it’s side-quest spin offs like Behind the Police and Behind the Insurrection. I enjoy Robert’s dry humor. I love when Sophie, the producer, chimes in! She’s so funny and relatable. I almost always like the guests. Margret is a personal fav 🖤 I highly recommend!

I have to admit, I think I would disagree with about 70% of the hosts views, but I really enjoy listening to this show. He/they present interesting topics and go into some previously (for me) unheard parts of history. I’m interested in all aspects of history and this show really is interesting to me. I know I have a lot of snide comments in my head as I’m listening but I always come away feeling like I learned things I probably wouldn’t have from other sources. I enjoy hearing different views on various topics whether they change my stance or not. Well worth a listen!

before actually listening to any episodes, i downloaded several of interest. i tried listening to a handful but had to stop within 10-15 minutes each time. as other reviewers have pointed out, any actual information is heavily diluted by inane commentary and jokes that don't land. the problem is mainly the male host—his voice is grating but apparently, he can't get enough of its sound. i actually forgot there was a female host until she finally said something 15 minutes in, in response to which the male host was dismissive. disappointing

Too much talking over one another and constant interjections makes this pod unlistenable. It’s a drag because the content is there. Reading the same complaint in other reviews with no improvement leads me to think the caster’s egos are too big to care what listeners think. I’m moving on. Bummed.
