Sound Escape 6: the gentle chatter of house sparrows and dunnocks in a Gower hedgerow

Welcome to our latest Sound Escape, a chance to relax to the calming sounds of nature. In this episode, we’re pausing beside a hedgerow on the edge of a small field in Gower, South Wales. It’s a bitterly cold and overcast Sunday morning but the house sparrows and hedge sparrows (dunnocks) are busily chatting at the beginning of their nesting season.   So sit back and be transported into the delightful soundscapes of spring. Recorded and presented by Hannah Tribe.

  • @Sam - these Sound Escape podcasts are so lovely - very relaxing 😴😴

@jane I was going to sarcastically comment how I don’t think it will help me analyse crypto. But actually it is nice for background concentration. To the moon 🚀

@Sam Yes, they do make a gentle background for that sort of concentration but I wonder if they are a little short to be really useful for that? Instead, I tend to use them as a relaxing break during a busy day. 🙂☕
