I have been listening to this podcast, and many others, for quite some time and have never before felt compelled to write any reviews. I want to thank you so much for the recent episode “How to Detach in 24 Hours.”

I have been going through a breakup with a man who spent 6 months talking to me all day every day and seeing me 3 times a week to completely discarding me/going no contact after only a 5 minute conversation as to why the relationship was ending. I was really traumatized and have spent the last month and a half spiraling until I listened to this episode!

I swear I have listened to it on repeat over the last 3 days. It is the only thing that snapped me out of my constant rumination and made me start to take my power back. I don’t even want “I don’t even know his name” back in my life anymore.

Thank you for the work you do and the art you put out into this world. You are truly an amazing human being who brings light and hope to the lives of so many people. Almost Adulting will always be one of my favorite podcasts. Thanks bestie, XOXO.

I’ve been listening for 3 years now since it was “Too Tired to be crazy.” I love the mental health advice and dating advice. I love the way violet expresses herself and the self confidence she gives women. Her voice is soothing and she’s funny.

I literally have Violeta’s pic as my ex’s contact pic, as a reminder not to contact him!! She really does always know best and she shares openly about the hilarious times when she didn’t know best and learned from it. The stories have me rollinggggg. The coolest girl I’ve never met! If you’re a girl, just shut up and listen to her. She gets us!

Violet says what we’re all secretly thinking—and then goes deeper. The “Doing The Most For The Bare Minimum” episode felt like therapy, truth serum, and a slap in the face (in a good way). As a woman who walked away from a wedding and wrote a memoir about it, I wish I’d had this episode years ago. Absolute gold.
