This is a great 49ers podcast for fans, lot’s of excellent information good inside reporting it’s not cynical, it’s definitely for 49er fans, absolutely worth a listen. Matt’s the Dean of the beat reporters. He knows this team well and it’s great to hear his insight and insider info. Jen is awesome as well and brings a lot of great insight. Together they make an excellent team. Top 49er Podcast no question about it.

My favorite podcast for 49ers football. Matt and Jennifer have great access to coaches, players, and provide detailed updates on the team. They have informative interviews and provide historical context with the team. The one podcast I won’t miss! Go Niners!

I started listening to this podcast in 2022. I've always liked Matt and he has fun chemistry with Jennifer Lee Chan. That said, their coverage during what has been a difficult 49ers season has been lacking. They rarely levy any serious criticism against the front office, coaching staff or players. They try to spin everything in a positive light and are constantly acting like apologists for poor player performance and behavior. it's starting to become unlistenable…

For an "insider" podcast they never break any news or revelatory information. For example with the latest scandal around De'Vondre Campbell they had absolutely no inkling of the attitude towards him that had clearly been festering with his teammates in the clubhouse throughout the season.

In the latest episode, they spent a great deal of time talking up Deebo Samuel and praising him for stand up behavior with the media after after a particularly terrible game against LA. But they never brought up his confrontation with teammates on the sideline or ducking out of postgame press conferences earlier in the year after poor performances. At worst they say he was "not performing well recently" rather than calling it like it is that the player has been performing poorly literally the entire season.

Really this is starting to feel like a PR fluff piece where the hosts bend over backwards to just "be nice" to everybody rather than keeping it real, objective, and providing actual in-depth insider coverage.

Give a follow to get the best information on the Niners. Matt and Jennifer are informative and insightful. They have both covered the team for years and you can tell they have a lot of respect from the players.
