The lesson this tragic case taught us is a valuable one. If you take it to heart, it could save your life.
Once a relationship ends, don’t be alone with your ex. That’s it. Simple rule, but take it seriously, please.
Nathanial Fujita was a popular, handsome, bright and personable young man. No one ever could have guessed what was coming. Even despite his erratic behavior in the final days, which must have scared Lauren, or at least made her very uncomfortable; no one thought he was capable of doing what he did.
Don’t ever meet up “for closure”. You don’t owe it to him to “say good bye, one last time.” Whatever they’re saying to convince you, just no. Let Lauren teach us all to be a little bit stronger. A little safer.

Great podcast and storytelling but the volume between episode and commercial needs to be equalized. You have to crank the volume for the episode then the commercial blasts in. Makes it hard to kick back and listen anywhere but the car.

I’d give it five stars but the sound needs to be fixed. The commercials are far louder than the show itself. Makes it harder to listen to. Content wise it’s good.

I really want to love this podcast. I love the 48 Hours tv shows and specials on the network, but the TV show to Podcast transfer is simply not as good as others (such as dateline). Too many very loud ads. Unnecessary repetition. The content is good and I think there is potential for this to be an excellent podcast, but it just isn’t done well yet.

The discrepancy between content volume and ad volume is so ridiculous it is impossible to comfortably listen with headphones. You will be listening to quiet and serious subject matter when all of a sudden an ad blasts in your ears so loudly that you are jolted up and need to turn the volume down at least half way. Really needs a fix to be enjoyable.

I like the program, but the really loud advertisements in between really ruin it, the volume is so low on the podcast you have to turn it up then when the advertisements come on, you end up blowing out your ear drum! 😣
